Aug. 29, 1088; m. 2, Martha (wid. of Simon) Wolcott, a sister of Wm. Pitkin, Esq., of Hartford ; the Hon. Daniel, d. Aug. 12, 1710, "in the 88th year of his age, or thereabouts;" he was an attorney at law, and held many public offices ; was appointed secretary of the colony 'in 1658, which office he held until 1664; he again held it during 1665-6 ; was in the land division at Hartford in 1639; his wife d.
