Sold to Nicholas Holt three acres of upland adjoining to the land of his father Holt, he paying twenty shillings an acre half wheat, the other half Indian corn, to pay it in three years and one shilling a year till the whole be paid.
Granted to Ebenezer Barker twenty acres of upland joining to the land of John Aslett near the sandy flats, he paying yearly forever ten shill- ings to the town, half in wheat and the other half Indian corn, and the said land to join to Rowley line.
At a general lawfull town meeting April the 9th 1677, it was voted and passed by the town, that the selectmen that now are, should prosecute Thomas Fuller of Willhill at the next Salem as a trespasser for cutting down and carrying away a great many cedar trees in the bounds of Andover contrary to the town's order and without their knowledge.
At a general town meeting the 7th day of January 1677, Lt. John Osgood, Ensign Thomas Chandler, Daniel Poor, Stephen Johnson and Dudley Eradstreet were chosen selectmen for the year ensuing. The instructions for the selectmen for the year ensuing were that they should manage all the prudentials of the town according to their best skill, only they are not to dispose of land or timber unless for defraying charges about the meeting house.

Granted liberty to Sgt. John Stevens to take up some swamp land in- stead of meadow, the place being upon mosquito brook betwixt the Ford and John Asletts meadow, the lot layers observing not to allow above two acres of the worst swamp for un acre of meadow.

Granted liberty to Joshua Woodman to get shingles enough to cover his house not exceeding seven thousand which is to be old stuff and short shingles.

Granted to Christopher Osgood twenty acres of land, four on this side of Shawsheen river and remainder over Shawsheen river, to be layed out by Ensign Chandler and Thomas Johnson so as not to prejudice the clay pits or any way to meadows. He is to pay tenn shillings a year to the town in wheat and Indian corn.
Thereas George Abbott, shoemaker stands possesed of a grant of twenty acres of land granted to his brother Joseph Abbott, the town have remitted the first year's payment.
At a lawful town meeting this 6th day of January 1678, Lt. Osgood was chosen Moderator for this present meeting.

Fuller of Will's Hill for four pounds thirteen shillings and six pence in money which the town owes him, they laying it out as little prejudicial to the town as they well can, and to make returns of what they do to the selectmen that now be.

At a lawful town meeting the 3rd of March 1678-9, Lt. Osgood is chosen Moderator for this present meeting. It was agreed and concluded that all land granted to particular persons in Shawsheen Field, in the Newfield and Cochickawick Field, for the making of fences at the first fencing of the said fields shall be theirs forever and their heirs. Also that parcel of meadow in Shawsheen field is confirmed to the widow Stevens and her heirs forever.
It was declared and voted that no man shall have liberty to cut cedar to transport out of town either in shingles or otherwise after Michaelmas next upon the penalty of forfeiting the same and all that get any betwixt this and that, are to give notice thereof to Sgt. John Stevens by the time before mentioned or else forfeit the value of the same.
.Granted to Mr. Dudley Bradstreet six acres of land adjoining to the highway to the Common Field and so towards Watts, his lot, in consideration of keeping the town records at the town meeting which he promised to do during his abode in the town.

Whereas there was formerly a Committe chosen to settle the bounds of Mark Graves his half moon meadow according to the report made to the towne by Left. Osgood & Serjt. Ingalls, and they failing to doe it, the towne hath made choise of Left: John Osgood, Ensigne Chandler Serjt: Ingalls, Good: Barker Senr: and Good: Poor to se the thing forthwith done and make returne thereof to the select men & to be kept in their booke, tell the sd. Graves shall se cause to have it recorded in the towne Records.
It was voted and passed that whereas serjt: John Peabody of Rowley Village hath trespassed upon the Common by cutting of timber the in towne hath left it to the select men that now are wth mr. Bradstreet & Left: Osgood, to make an agrement wth sd Peabody.
It was voted that the Committe that goes to veiw Good: Graves his meadow shall also take a veiw of what low rubbishy ground was sold to Samuell Martin by the select men that was formerly.
It was voted and passed that the select men should suet Richard Sutton for what rates is due from him to mr: Deane.
Sold to Stephen Osgood two parcells of Land about a quarter of an acre of upland by his house, and three quarters of an acre at the lower end of his lott to make his fence straight, he paying to the Towne twentie shillings in wheat & Indian Corne.
Sold to John Abbott about a qutre. of an acre of land on the east side of his lott, he paying to the towne after the rate of twenty shillings per acre.
Graunted libertie to John Marstone junr: to Carry out of towne about six or seven thousand of shingles which he hath already gott he paying to the towne eighteen pence per thousand for the same to the select men or their order: this present year.
John Graunger is accepted as a townsman he paying to the tome yearly for his herbage & Commonage four shillings in Corne.
Graunted libertie to Samuell Preston to change two acres of upland he bought of Andrew ffoste which was upon the plain by the pine tree going to Good: Ballards, and to lay it joyning to his new frame.

It was voted ard agreed upon that if any person either male or female, shall sitt in any owner place in the meeting house then where they are ap- pointed by the aforesaid Committee, shall forfeit for every such offence to the use of the towne 20 * (pence abbreviated? or could it be as much as shillings?) to be forthwith gathered by the Constable, by ordr: fromsd Committe, & if sd Constable faileth to doe, as abovesd, to pay 3d sum him- self.

River of Merimake frome the uper end and lower end of the aforesd twenty rods, & the abovesd person(s) with such as they shall joyne with then, are to injoy the abovesd priviledge the ful and just terme of twenty one years, from the first day of May next, the first ten years, they shall have it for nothing, the other eleven years, either to pay to the towne 10d 8? per annum or resigne up their future interest in ye sd place and alsoe they are to sell to any inhabitant, bass at 5d per peice provided those that buy buy two at one time, the partie buying to chose one ye partie selling to choose another and if the partie buying chose rather to pay 3d per peice for **** in money, the owners of sd priviledge shall not refuse the same, provided as abovesd they buy 2 at a time each partie.
Graunted to Richard Barker senr: att the meadow joyning upon fullers line wherein Samuell Martin hath an acre and a half that is to say from the place where Samuell Martin shewed the Left: & good: Poor whereabouts ffullers line came over all which meadow is graunted to Richard Barker in full satis- faction of soe much meadow as he lost by ffullers line. Voted that satisfaction should be made to Thomas Johnson, for what meadow was intended for him, which afterwards proved Daniel Poors senr William Chandler senr: & Joseph Marble are appointed to measure the abovesd meadowe that was left, and measure as much to him in some other meadowe that is Common, and if the meadowe propounded be not enough to have ye rest in swamp Land.
Voted and passed that the lowne shall give Mr: Barnard fifty pounds per annum, Je on quarter of it in money, the use of the personage, & all his firewood, during the time mr: Deane shall carry on part of the work and when mr: Dean shall cease to carry on part of the work, then Mr. Barnard shall have eighty pounds per annum, one quarter part of in money to- gether with the use of the personage, and all his fire wood during the time he shall carry on the whole work of the ministrie.
Voted that Richard Barker senr: shall take up as much meadowe or swamp Land, as is his due for what he lost in the Beechen meadowe and was to have had in a meadowe of Samuell Martins but is now to take up as abovesd:
Graunted libertie to Serjnt: Ingalls to take up three acres of swamp Land adjoyning to the Land he hath in Cochichawicka feild, and soe by the fence side towards Thomas Abbotts house.
