Pursuant to the foregoing warrant issued by the Selectmen of Milford the polls were opened at 8 A. M. Precinct Officers appointed by the Selectmen appeared before the Town Clerk and were sworn in.
All ballots cast and unused ballots in the precincts and the sealed voting lists were delivered to the Town Clerk March 8, 1949.

In compliance with the requirement of Chapter 39, Section 21, General Laws, we, the Registrars of Voters of the Town of Milford, Mass., this day assembled in the Selectmen's Office in said Milford and canvassed the re- turns of voters cast for the several offices of the Town for the ensuing year and for Town Meeting Members, said returns have been made in accordance with the pro- visions of Chapter 54, Sec. 105 General Laws (Ter. Ed.) said votes having been given at the Annual Town Meet- ing held March 7th, 1949. Milford, March 16, 1949
At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Milford notified by law to vote in Town Affairs held in Town Hall on the 16th day of March A.D. 1949, the said inhabitants proceeded as follows :
The meeting was called to order by Moderator John F. Curran and the following Monitors were sworn in:
At Large Edward C. Carroll.
Precinct 1. Daniel J. O'Brien.
Precinct 2. Charles Frascotti to take place of Joseph L. DeLuca.
Precinct 3. Alfred B. Cenedella, Jr., to take place of William Moore.
Precinct 4. William W. O'Brien.
Precinct 5. Elmer C. Nelson.
The following persons were elected to fill vacancies in the Precincts: Precinct 2. Joseph Delladonna-2 year term; Arthur Rizoli-1 year term; Precinct 3. Fred J. Coleman -- 1 year term; William H. Leonard-1 year term; Peter T. Ruscitti-2 year term; Dwight L. Wat- son-3 year term; Precinct 4. James P. Sullivan-1 year term; Precinct 5. William J. Carini-1 year term.
The Monitors took the roll call and 170 persons be- ing present, a sufficient number to constitute a quorum the Town Clerk read the warrant and the Officer's re- turn thereon.
Article 1. Voted: To accept all reports of Town Officers and Committees of the town.

Mr. William G. Rae, a member of the Committee ap- pointed by the Moderator to study the Milford Sewer System, reported for his committee. It was VOTED: To accept the report of the special committee to study the Milford Sewer System and have same placed on file.
Mr. George V. Larkin, a member of the World War II Memorial Committee, read a report of his committee. It was VOTED: To accept the report of the World War II Memorial Committee and have same placed on file.
The Finance Committee's Report was submitted by J. Laurence Doyle, Secretary of the Finance Committee.
Article 2. VOTED: That in taking action under Ar- ticle 2 of the Warrant, that the rule passed in 1941 be followed, namely: That there be a reading of each one of the budget items, together with the amount requested and the recommendations of the Finance Commission; that as each item is read, any voter who desires to ob- ject to the amount recommended by the Finance Com- mittee shall state that he objects thereto; after all the items have been read, a motion be made incorporating all these items to which no objection has been made. After such vote has been taken, the items to which objection has been made shall be taken up separately for action thereto.
