This year we have ideal conditions with the im- proved facilities and light of the New High School. Also there is but little time wasted in going about to so many widely scattered schools.
To Mr. Green and the School Committee and Teachers who have done everything possible in assisting, I offer my sincere thanks.
Respectfully, SAMUEL WARNER,
Drawing Supervisor.

Report of School Nurse
To Mr. George E. Green, Supt. of Schools of Duxbury :
During the year ending December 31st, 1927, my activities have been as follows :
Visits to School rooms 338
Visits to homes of school children 639
Children carried to hospitals for tonsil operations 11
Children carried to hospitals for other operations 2 Children carried to hospitals for examination

Of the children operated on for tonsils the parents of five were able to pay the required five dollars, the others being paid for by the Duxbury Nurse Association from their special fund. The eye glasses and the fees to specialists were paid for by the Home Service Depart- ment of the Old Colony Chapter of American Red Cross. The Red Cross also have given clothing, shoes, overshoes, and supplied food to some of the families of school children.
I assisted the school physician in the examination of the school children and they were found to be in good condition.

Report of Selectmen
To the Citizens of Duxbury :
Your board of Selectmen make the following report:
The work of construction of Bay Road for the year 1928 has been completed and we are recommending an appropriation for 1929 to complete the work to the square at Halls Corner we feel that the town should take some action in relation to the taking of some land on the two corners of Washington Street at said Halls Corner.
The town voted at the last annual meeting instruct- ing the Selectmen to move the flag pole at South Duxbury, This has not been done as yet as we are waiting to place the pole after getting the location of line of road where the corner is to be cut between Bay Road and Chestnut street.
We also recommend that some action be taken with reference to the vacant school buildings these should either be sold or put to some good use.
The town hall will need some repairs this season. We feel that the residents of Duxbury should consider thoroughly before town meeting what in their opinion will be the best thing for which the town hall and Acad- emy building may be used.
Respectfully submitted,
SIDNEY C. SOULE, ALFRED E. GREEN, GORDON TWEED,
Selectmen of Duxbury.
