building for this treatment. This chair and equipment have been very useful and are very much appreciated.

The pupils' eyes have been tested with the assistance of the teachers, and the parents have been notified when the children's eyes were not found normal.

The ears of all pupils, except the first and second grade pupils, were examined by Miss Anna J. Foley who brought the audiometer from the Plymouth County Health Asso- ciation. She gave the test on November 12, and all pupils who had a loss of nine sensation units or more were retested on December 17. After the retest, there were only twelve who had not normal hearing. While they are by no means deaf, their ears are not normal.

I also had a class in Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick. This class was in the Domestic Science department. The pupils displayed much interest, especially with the first aid work. They all passed a good test and were a- warded certificates from the National American Red Cross of Washington, D. C.

I assisted Dr. Noyes when he gave the physical exam- inations. He found the pupils in (with a few exceptions) a healthy condition.

I wish to thank the teachers and parents for their co- operation.

Respectfully submitted, ANNIE L. WILLIAMS, School Nurse.

Report of Selectmen

-

To the Citizens of Duxbury

Your Board of Selectmen make the following report:

There have been improvements made on the Town Office building including painting the outside two coats. Shingling the roof and installing a bathroom in the tene- ment on the upper floor.

Bryant avenue and Stetson avenue have been laid out by the Board and will be in the warrant at the annual meeting for consideration of the voters.

During the year the Selectmen received notice of a gift to various departments of the town under the will of Lucy Hathaway. This gift will be in warrant for accept- ance.

As there were no appropriations for special highway work the general repairs and the straightening of Union street and signs, etc., have been taken from the general appropriation.

In repairing the Blue Fish River Town Landing it was found necessary to do much more than was anticipat- ed. By using plank taken from Gurnet Bridge, the work was completed within the appropriation.

We would suggest that all money raised be paid from the revenue of the year 1931.

Respectfully submitted, SIDNEY C. SOULE, ALFRED E. GREEN, HARRY F. SWIFT,

Selectmen of Duxbury.
