Article 41. To see what sums of money, in addition to that appro- priated under any other article, the Town will vote to raise or borrow and appropriate for Land Damages.


Article 42. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the payment of printing and distribution of the Annual Report of the Town of Braintree for 1942.


Article 43. To see what distribution the Town will vote to make of the income of the Thayer Fund.


Article 44. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the expenses of the Planning Board, or take any action relative thereto.


Article 45. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to meet the payment of certain bills contracted prior to January 1, 1943, or take any action relative thereto.


Article 46. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the care and maintenance of property acquired by the Town under Tax Title Foreclosure procedure, or take any other action relative thereto.


Article 47. To see if the Town will vote to authorize and direct the Assessors to use any sum or sums of money from Free Cash toward the reduction of the 1943 tax rate.


Article 48. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money in addition to sums of money already appropriated, to cover the Town's share for materials, trucking and other necessary expenditures in connection with W. P. A. activities or other Special Aid projects in conjunction with State or Federal Government; or take any action relative thereto.


Article 49. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 5, Section 2 of the Town By-Laws, by striking out of said section the provision "and shall cause a copy of said report to be left at each occupied hotel, dwelling house and tenement, seven days at least before the date of holding such meeting", and substituting therefor the provision "and shall cause copies of said report to be distributed to each registered voter of the Town who shall apply therefor at the office of the Select- men."


Article 50. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 1, Sec- tion 2 of the By-Laws, by substituting therein the words "eight o'clock in the morning" for "six o'clock in the morning"; and "eight o'clock in the evening" for "seven o'clock in the evening"; and by striking out the following provision "except that in the case of primaries, the polls may be closed not earlier than two o'clock in the afternoon."


Article 51. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the erection of a suitable Temporary Honor Roll of the men in the armed services of the United States during the cur- rent war conflict; or take any action relative thereto.

Article 52. To see what action the Town will take to provide a program for Post-War rehabilitation, and or reconstruction.


Article 53. ON PETITION. To see if the Town will vote to accept Section 103 of Chapter 41, General Laws, providing for the establishing of a Purchasing Department, or take any other action relative thereto.


Article 54. ON PETITION. To see if the Town will vote to amend the following By-Law:


Article 1. Section 2. "The polls shall be opened not later than six o'clock in the morning and shall close not earlier than seven o'clock in the evening. This provision shall also apply to all elections and primaries unless otherwise provided by law, except that in case of primaries, the polls may be closed not later than two o'clock in the afternoon," so that it will read as follows:


"The polls shall be opened at nine o'clock in the morning and shall close at eight o'clock in the evening."


"This provision shall also apply to all elections and primaries unless otherwise provided by law."


Article 55. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purchase and installation of Sirens, or other Air Raid Warning Devices for Air Raid Alarms; or take any action relative thereto.


Article 56. ON PETITION. To see if the Town will vote to abandon its easement for sewer purposes in the land of Charles F. Buckley, lying between the northerly line of Union Street and the southerly line of the underpass, in accordance with General Laws, Chap- ter 40, Section 15; or take any action relative thereto.


Article 57. To see what sum or sums of money the Town will vote to appropriate for the use of the State Guard Unit, said sums to be taken from the State Guard Reserve Unit Reserve Fund; or take any other action relative thereto.


Article 58. To see if the Town will vote to amend its By-Laws by providing that the Collector of Taxes shall collect, under the title of Town Collector, all accounts due the Town, in accordance with Section 38A, Chapter 41, General Laws; or take any action relative thereto.


Article 59. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to maintain and repair the Old East Braintree Fire Station on Allen Street; or take any action relative thereto.


You are directed to serve this Warrant by posting true and at- tested copies thereof in one or more public places in each Voting Precinct in said Town of Braintree, ten days at least before said first day of March, 1943, and by publishing the same once each week for two successive weeks in the "Braintree News-Item", the first publica- tion to be at least eight days before said meeting.
