Petition for Recount

Braintree, Mass., March 6, 1945

We, the undersigned voters in Precinct 4, of the Town of Brain- tree, represent that we have reason to believe, and we do believe, that the records, or copies of records made by the Election Officers of said Precinct, of the ballots cast in the election of March 5, 1945, for the office of Town Meeting Members are erroneous.

In this respect that Ralph W. Maglathlin was credited with less votes than were cast for him, and that George L. Anderson, A. Win- ton Caird, Charles W. Gillies, Rowena L. Hall, John J. Heaney, Herbert B. Hollis, Atherton N. Hunt, James H. Jenkins, Minnie C. Lawley, Frank T. Maguire, William F. Rogers, Nelson H. Seaver, Albert O. Senior, Seward W. Taber and John T. Tefry, Jr., were credited with more votes than were cast for them.

And we believe that a recount of the ballots in said Precinct would affect the election.

We therefore request that the votes for said Town Meeting Members be recounted.
