FALL TERM-From September 8 to Nov. 20, inclusive, 11 weeks.
WINTER TERM-From Nov. 30, to Dec. 18, inclusive, and from Dec. 28 to Feb. 19, inclusive, 11 weeks. High School to March 24, 15 weeks. Making 34 weeks for lower grades and 40 weeks for High School.
From the financial statement you will notice that about $200 was expended for repairs. Most of it on the North Rutland school- house, where all the plastering in the school room was removed and metal used on the side walls and ceiling. This was very much
41
needed as the plaster on the walls was loose and that of the ceiling kept falling down making it necessary to keep patching each year. This school-house, as far as the interior is concerned, will be in good condition for several years.
The ceiling in the basement of the Center school building is in about the same condition as the one in North Rutland was, and an appropriation for a metel ceiling is needed.
Respectfully submitted,
