ACCOUNTANT'S REPORT.

[Dec. 31

Accountant's Report

The Treasurer's Cash Account

The cash on hand, December 31, 1921, was verified by me by actual count, and the cash in the bank was verified by reconcilia- tion of the outstanding checks with the book and bank state- ments, and was further verified by a letter received from the bank certifying to the amount to the credit of the town of Saugus at the close of the business, December 31, 1921.

Taxes Collected

The cash books and commitment books were footed and the payments to the Treasurer verified and compared with the receipts as recorded by him on his books.

Trust Funds

I have compared the savings bank books in the hands of the Treasurer with the amount called for in the Perpetual Care Fund account as being on deposit December 31, 1921, and the books and the amounts agree.

The George Melvin Wilson Library Fund account was veri- fied by examining the Liberty Bonds in the hands of the Treas- urer, which are registered bonds, also the savings bank book.

Respectfully submitted,

HAROLD E. DODGE, Town Accountant.
