The Finance Committee recommends that this trans- fer be made.
ARTICLE XXVIII
Request of the School Committee for a transfer of $1,800 from school salaries appropriation to the general school appropriation.
The School Committee finds itself with a balance of $1,800 in its salary budget and a deficit of that amount in the general budget. This is merely for the purpose of balancing the two budgets.
The Finance Committee recommends that the trans- fer be made.
ARTICLE XXIX
Request of the Board of Selectmen for a transfer of $2,000 from the new High School account to the water maintenance account.
The Water Maintenance Department has at the present time a balance of less than $4.00 with some two months of the year to complete. It is obvious that the department must have funds.
The Finance Committee is convinced that this trans- fer must be made.

ARTICLE XXX
Request of the Board of Selectmen for a transfer of $430 from the balance of the appropriation for the purchase of truck tires to the Highway Department.
This is a case where the Board of Selectmen were able to pur- chase new tires for the trucks for less than the amount appro- priated. The Highway Department, however, has not a suffici- ent balance to complete the year, and the board requests that the small balance be transferred.
The Finance Committee recommends that this trans- fer be made.
