John W. Heffernan, Sec'y of the Appropriation Committee offered the following resolutions and they were unanimously adopt- ed.
Resolved: That the thanks of the town be extended to Mr. Wil- liam E. Dizer and Mrs. Lizzie E. Granger for the gift of pictures and to Mrs. Frederick M. Torrey for the gift of a relic from the battlefield of Antietam for display in the Town Hall, and that the Town Clerk be instructed to notify said persons of this vote.
Resolved: That the thanks of the Town be extended to Mr. Daniel D'Ambrosia for the police signal box constructed by him for the use of the Police Department at Lovell's Corner, and that the Town Clerk be instructed to send him an attested copy of this vote.

Department, 100. of the appropriation for the Highway Department and 50. of the appropriation for the Tufts Library shall be available for travel- ing expenses of the officers and em- ployees of said departments outside the Commonwealth in securing infor- mation upon matters which may tend to improve the service in their re- spective departments, and when any official of the town whose compensa- tion is at the rate of 1,000. a year or less shall be required to leave the town for the purpose of attending on behalf of the town any hearing be- fore an administrative board or official or before a court otherwise than a witness, the Selectmen may allow him not exceeding 10.00 per day for the time so consumed, in addition to the salary or emoluments of his position hereinbefore fixed or otherwise fixed in accordance with law.
And further provided that no moneys herein appropriated shall be available for the purchase of motor vehicles other than trucks of more than two tons capacity and tractors unless the same shall be purchased from dealers living or having an es- tablished place of business in Wey- mouth.
And further provided that no moneys herein appropriated shall be available for the compensation of any plumbing inspector who is not a citi- zen of the town.

Art. 3. Voted Unanimously: That the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1931, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year; any debt or debts in- curred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said finan- cial year.
Art. 4. Voted Unanimously: That the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to bor- row money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1931, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year: any debt or debts incur- red under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said financial year.
Art. 5. Voted: That no action be taken under this article.
Art. 6. Voted: That the salary of the Tax Collector be six mil's on each dollar of taxes collected, and that the Selectinen be author- ized and instructed to insure the Tax Collector in the sum of 15,000 hold-up insurance; and further that in any case where the Build- ing Inspector certifies to the Tax Collector that the building on any property where taxes are unpaid is not in conformity with the building laws, the Collector shall instead of selling the property, take the same for the town under General Laws, Chapter 60, Sections 53 and following. The time of payment and rates of inter- est on unpaid taxes to be fixed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 59, Section 57 of the General Laws.
Art. 7. Voted: That the Selectnien be authorized to sell or otherwise dispose of any real estate belonging to the town for which the town has no further use, including all real estate of which the town has possesion or title for non-payment of taxes or breach of the condition of any mortgage, and that the Board of Selectnieu be further authorized to sell or otherwise dispose of any personal prop- erty or buildings for which the town has no further use and that any other Board or Department having personal property or build- ings for which the town has no further use may with the approval of the Selectmen sell or otherwise dispose of the same.

All sales hereunder shall be by public auction unless in the opinion of the Board of Selectmen the fair value of the property concerned does not exceed one hundred dollars (100.), in which case the sale may be either by public auction or private sale.
Prince H. Tirrell moved to amend by adding: That the School Committee be authorized to dispose of the old Hunt School build- ing, either by demolition or by sale. Any sale of the building as a whole shall be by public auction. Sale of any materials derived from demolition of the building may be made upon such terms as the School Committee shall determine. All proceeds from any such sale or sales shall be paid to the Town Treasurer
The question of the amendment of Mr. Tirrell was put to the meeting and it was so voted. The question on the motion of the Appropriation Committee as amended was then put before the meeting and it was so voted.
Art. 8. Voted: That the town accept Section 13 of Chapter 40 of the General Laws. (Municipal Building Insurance Fund.)
Art. 9. Motion: To raise and appropriate for the establishment of a Municipal Building Insurance Fund under Section 13 of Chapter 40 of the General Laws the sum of Ten thousand dollars (10,000.00) and that until Commissioners of trust funds shall be legally elected the same to be administered by a temporary board consisting of the Town Treasurer, and two members of the Appropriation Com- mittee to be designatd by the Moderator, which board shall select its own chairman. Mr. Allan C. Emery moved to amend as follows: That in addition to the 10,000. of Municipal Insurance the re- mainder of insurance now expiring be renewed.

ADJOURNED ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Weymouth, Mass. March 5, 1930
The time having arrived to which the Annual town meeting adjourned as provided in the warrant for said meeting, the meet- ing was called to order by George L. Barnes, Annual Moderator. Rev. Dr. Winfield Randall offered prayer.
Art. 10. Voted: That this town accept from the Pond Plain Improvement Association a lease of the two parcels of land des- cribed in Article 10 of the warrant for the term of five (5) years at a rental of one(1) dollar per year, plus the taxes assessed on said leased property, said lease to be terminated upon notice to the lessee of six (6) months notice by the lessors, and that the Chairman of the Board of Park Commissioners be authorized to execute said lease on behalf of the town.
Art. 11 Voted: That no action be taken under this article.
Art. 12. Voted: That the town accept from Nellie G. Leary, Margaret G. Dondero and Mary W. Bauer leases of the right to flow certain land Southerly of Park Avenue and known as the "Joseph E. Torrey Meadow" and to occupy the same for skating purposes during the Winter months for the term of Five (5) years, each of said leases to be terminable on notice from the lessee or six (6) months notice from the lessor, or on notice from the lessee.

Voted Unanimously: That the Board of Park Commis- sioners are hereby authorized to acquire by purchase or take by right of eminent domain for park purposes an easement for persons and vehicles to pass and repass over the driftway, so called, ex- tending northeasterly from Tower Avenue between property of David N. Crawford and Margaret DeCourcey, and that the sum of Two Dollars (2.00) be raise and appropriated for the acquisition of said easement
The Moderator appointed J. Edward Mulligan, Francis A. Rea and Alfred C. Sheehy as tellers and they were sworn as such by the Moderator.
Upon the vote being taken the tellers reported 95 voting in the affirmative and none in the negative.

Motion offered by the Appropriation Committee: That the Board of Park Commissioners be and hereby are authorized to institute proceedings under Chapter 80 A of the General Laws for the taking by eminent domain for park purposes of the following described parcels of land, said parcels forming in the aggregate the two parcels of land described in Article 14 of the warrant.
