Following the dedication of the Memorial Cross, the tablet to the heroes of the French and Indian Wars was dedicated by the members of the Weymouth Historical Society, Bates Torrey, President officiating. Rev. Nathan Wood offered a prayer and Rev. Charles W. Allen, Secretary of the Society, gave a brief recital of that war.

The tablet to the unknown soldiers was dedicated by the members of Reynold's Post No. 58, G. A. R. Senior Vice Command- er, Department of Massachusetts, Waldo Turner in charge, he was assisted by Rev. Winfield S. Randall acting as Chaplain. Mr. H. M. Comey of Danvers a 91 year old veteran of Chelsea, a former Department Commander of Massachusetts also spoke.
The tablet to the Weymouth men who fought in the Rev- olutionary War was dedicated by the Sons of American Revol- ution, Arthur R. Taylor, president officiating. This Society were holding their annual meeting at the Town Hall on this date and there were many present to assist in this dedication.
The tablet to Shays Rebellion was unveiled by Hon. George L. Barnes, Annual Moderator of the Town of Weymouth, who gave a short address on that uprising.
The tablet to the memory of those men who fought in the War of 1812 was dedicated by the Society of 1812 and the ritual for the dedication was read. by Lieut. Col. Frederick Anson Estes, a member of that Society.
Wessagusset Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars performed the dedicatory ceremony for the tablet to those who fought in the Mexican War, the China Relief Expedition and the occupation of Vera Cruz. This ceremony was performed by Commander Louis N. Barcello, Robert F. Goforth, Senior Vice Commander and Earl F. McDonald, Junior Vice Commander of that organ- ization.
The tablets to the men of Weymouth who fought in the World War were unveiled by members of Weymouth Post No. 79, Amer- ican Legion, John G. Easton Commander.
Col. Frederic Gilbert Bauer presented a tablet to mark the exact spot where the last Indian attack upon Weymouth was niade. This tablet was accepted by William A. Connell, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, and the tablet will be placed near Mid- dle and Washington Streets on the site of the old Town House.
After the dedication of each tablet a salute of three volleys were fired by Howitzer Company, 101st Infantry of Quincy.
Music was performed by the "Pond Plain Band" Julian R. Merchant, Conductor.
A luncheon was served at noon to the representatives of the patriotic orders by the Daughters of Union Veterans, Mrs. Harriet C. Fern, president.
Following the dedication exercises a pageaut depicting the last Indian attack upon Weymouth April 19. 1676 was produced under the direction of Mrs. Flora Haviland McGrath. A log cabin had been set up on the lot opposite the High School and the cast was made up of young men and women of Weymouth.

WARRANT FOR A STATE ELECTION
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
NORFOLK, SS
To either of the Constables of the Town of Weymouth. GREETING:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid, qualified to vote in elections, to meet at the polling places in their precincts to wit: Precincts 1, 3, 5 and 6 in the Fire Engine houses located in those precincts respectively; in 2 at G. A. R. hall; Precinct 4 at the building of the Citizens' Association, Inc., on Front Street, Precinct 7 at the Lovell's Corner Improve- ment Association Building on Washington Street; Precinct 8 at the Weymouth Heights Club Building on North Street; on Tuesday, the fourth day of November, 1930 at 5:45 A. M. then and there to bring in to the election officers their votes on one ballot for the following named public officers, to wit: Governor; Lieutenant Governor; Secretary; Treasurer; Auditor; Attorney General; Sen- ator in Congress; Congressman; Councillor; Senator; Represent- ative in General Court (1, 2, or 3); District Attorney; Register of Probate and Insolvency; County Commissioner; Associate County Commissioners (2); County Treasurer, and also to vote "Yes" or "No" on the following questions:
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
Question No. 1: Article XXI of the articles of amendment is hereby annulled and the following is adopted in place thereof:
Article XXI. In the year nineteen hundred and thirty-five and every tenth year thereafter a census of the inhabitants of each city and town shall be taken and a special enumeration shall be made of the legal voters therein. Said special enumeration shall also specify the number of legal voters residing in each precinct of each town containing twelve thousand or more inhabitants according to said census and in each ward of each city. Each special enumeration shall be the basis for determining the repre- sentative districts for the ten year period beginning with the first Wednesday in the fourth January following said special enumera- tion; provided, that such districts as established in the year nine- teen hundred and twenty-six shall continue in effect until the first Wednesday in January in the year nineteen hundred and thirty-nine.
The house of representatives shall consist of two hundred and forty members which shall be apportioned by the general court, at its first regular session after the return of each special enumera- tion, to the several counties of the commonwealth, equally, as near- ly as may be according to their relative numbers of legal voters, as ascertained by said special enumeration; and the town of Cohasset, in the county of Norfolk, shall, for this purpose; as well as in the formation of districts as hereinafter provided, be considered a part of the County of Plymouth; and it shall be the duty of the secre-

tary of the commonwealth to certify, as soon as may be after it is determined by the general court, the number of representatives to which each county shall be entitled, to the board authorized to divide such county into representative districts The county com- missioners or other body acting as as such or, in lieu thereof, such board of special commissioners in each county as may for that purpose be provided by law, shall, within thirty days after such certification by the secretary of the commonwealth or within such other period as the general court may by law provide, assemble at a shire town of their respective counties, and proceed, as soon as may be, to divide the same into representative districts of contiguous territory and assign representatives thereto, so that each representative in such county will represent an equal number of legal voters, as nearly as may be; and such districts shall be so formed that no town containing less than twelve thousand inhabitants according to said census, no precinct of any other town and no ward of a city shall be divided therefor, nor shall any district be made which shall be entitled to elect more than three representatives. The general court may by law limit the time with- in which judicial proceedings may be instituted calling in question any such apportionment, division or assignment. Every represen- tative, for one year at least immediately preceding his election, shall have been an inhabitant of the district for which he is chosen and shall cease to represent such district when he shall county, and to the clerk of every city or town in such county, to be filed and kept in their respective offices. The manner of calling and conducting the elections for choice of representatives. and of ascertaining their election, shall be prescribed by law.
Article XXII of the articles of amendment is hereby annulled and the following is adopted in place thereof:
Article XXII. Each special enumeration of legal voters required in the preceding article of amendment shall likewise be the basis for determining the senatorial districts and also the councillor dis- tricts for the ten year period beginning with the first Wednesday in the fourth January following such enumeration; provided, that such districts as established in the year nineteen hundred and twenty-six shall continue in effect until the first Wednesday in January in the year nineteen hundred and thirty-nine. The senate shall consist of forty members. The general court s'hall, at its cease to be an inhabitant of the commonwealth. The districts in each county shall be numbered by the board creating the same, and a description of each, with the numbers thereof and the num- ber of legal voters therein, shall be returned by the board. to first regular session after the return of each special enumeration. divide the commonwealth into forty districts of contignes terri- tory, each district to contain as nearly as may be, an equal num- ber of voters, according to said special enumeration; provided however, that no town or ward or a city shall be divided therefor: and such districts shall be formed, as nearly as may be, without uniting two counties, or parts of two or more counties, into die district. The general court may by law limit the time within which judicial proceedings may be instituted calling in question such division. Each district shall elect one senator, who shall

have been an inhabitant of this commonwealth five years at least immediately preceding his election, and at the time of his election shall be an inhabitant of the district for which he is chosen; and he shall cease to represent such senatorial district when he shall cease to be an inhabitant of the commonwealth.
Question No. 2: An act to repeal section two A of chapter one hundred and thirty-eight of the General Laws, inserted by chapter three hundred and seventy of the acts of nineteen hundred and twenty three.
Question No. 3: An act to amend chapter one hundred and thir- ty-one of the General Laws.
The polls will be open at 5:45 in the morning until 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting as directed by vote of the town.
Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your do- ings thereon to the Town Clerk of said town on or before the first day of November, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and thirty.
