ARTICLE 21. (At Request of Alfred C. Sheehy, 401 Broad Street, and Others.) To see if the Town will raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient to survey, widen, deepen, or otherwise repair the culvert which conducts the brook under Broad Street and Academy Avenue, near the intersection of Broad Street, Essex Street and Academy Avenue, or take any other suitable action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 22. (By Request of Mosquito Civic and Social Association.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for repairs and drainage on Oak Street, or to take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 27. (By Request of the Herring Run Merchants Association of East Weymouth.) To see if the Town will raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient to cover over, by cement slab or otherwise, the so-called "CANAL" which runs along the northwesterly side of Commercial Street between the present Alewive Fishery and Commercial Square in East Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.

Art. X, Sect. I, Establishment of Districts. In the first para- graph to change the word "four" to "five", to delete the term "Resi- dential District," and to substitute therefor "Residential District A" and "Residential District B," so as to read:
1. Classes of Districts: The Town of Weymouth is hereby divided as shown on the Zoning Map dated February 1, 1939, as revised and filed with the Town Clerk, in five classes of districts: Residential District A, Residential District B, Business Districts, Limited Busi- ness Districts, Industrial Districts.

ARTICLE 31. (On Petition of Mr. Harry N. Call, 71 Sunny Plain Avenue and others.) To see if the Town will vote to change the zoning for Slate Island and Grape Island from residential to industrial.
ARTICLE 32. (On Petition of William A. Davison, 57 Sea Street, and others). To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Laws of the Town, having to do with zoning so that the area described substantially as set forth below shall be changed from Residential District or Zone to Business District or Zone.
Beginning at a point at the corner of Neck and Shaw Streets, on the Easterly side of Neck Street and running easterly for 474.36 feet to a point at the intersection of Green and Shaw Streets and then running north along Green Street for a distance of 609.52 feet, to a Private Way; and then Westerly along the Private Way 82.81 feet to the intersection of Neck Street and then southwesterly along Neck Street 471.01 feet to the point of beginning, entire lot comprising 4.33 acres, more or less.

ARTICLE 33. (At Request of Committee on re-Zoning). To see if the Town will vote to amend its Zoning By-Laws and Zoning Map, Article X of the Town By-Laws, by making the following changes:
CHANGES OF DISTRICTS. From Residential to Limited Busi- ness, commencing at the intersection of Maple and Middle Streets, easterly side of Middle Street and the southerly property line of the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company, on the west- erly side of Middle Street and extending southerly on both sides of Middle Street to the present business district.
From Business to Industrial commencing at Commercial Square running northly on both sides of Commercial Street to the present industrial district at the junction of Wharf Street.
PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY

ARTICLE 34. (By Direction of the Board of Selectmen at the Re- quest of the Civil Defense Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appropriate for the equipment, maintenance, train- ing, and other expense of the Division of Civil Defense, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 35. (By Direction of the Board of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the purpose of maintaining during the ensuing year, the mosquito control works as estimated and certified to by the State Reclamation Board in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 112, Acts of 1931.
ARTICLE 36. (On Petition of the Adams Schools' Parent-Teachers Association, with the full support and approval of the Town of Weymouth Health Department). To see if the Town will take action to raise and ap- propriate a sum of money for the purpose of Fluoridation of the Town's Water Supplies; said Fluoridation to be under the control and super- vision of the Board of Water Commissioners; or taken any other action deemed necessary by the vote of the Town Meeting.
ARTICLE 37. (At Request of the Park Department). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the construction of jetties and beach preservation at Wessagussett Beach as shown on plan dated December 16, 1952 drawn by William B. Harty, with the Boston Port Authority to furnish a like amount and with work to be done under the direction of the Boston Port Authority, or take any other action in re- lation thereto.
ARTICLE. 38. (At the Request of the Park Department). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to replace the bathhouse at Wessagussett Beach, which was damaged by fire, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 39. (By Direction of the Park Department and the Tree Warden). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and ap- propriate for the planting of shade trees, or take any other action in re- lation thereto.
ARTICLE 40. (At the Request of the Tree Warden). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $11,000.00 for Dutch Elm Disease control work, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 41. (At the Request of the Tree Warden). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for Aerial Spraying for Mosquito Control, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 42. (At the Request of the Tree Warden). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for its share in the South Shore Mosquito Control, or take any other action in relation thereto.
VETERANS
ARTICLE 43. (By Request of the Weymouth Veterans Council). To see if the Town will vote to appropriate three hundred fifty (350) dollars for Armistice Day, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 44. (At Request of the Columbian Civic Association). To see if the Town will vote to transfer the plot of land at the beginning of Bald Eagle Road from the Street Department to the Park Department in order to prepare said lot of land for dedication in honor of Corporal Arthur Low Adams, late of 229 Pleasant Street, who was killed while serv- ing with the Armed Forces of the United States, and that a sum of money be raised and appropriated.
EDUCATION
ARTICLE 45. (At Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation, or otherwise, and appro- priate, for the purpose of acquiring by gift, purchase, or eminent domain. in fee, certain parcels of land in North Weymouth, East Weymouth, Nash's Corner, and South Weymouth as sites for future school buildings or take any other action in relation thereto. ,
ARTICLE 46. (At Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation, or otherwise, and appro- priate, for the purpose of preparing plans, working drawings, and de- tailed specifications in order that bids may be secured for new school con- struction or additions to existing school buildings, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 47. (At Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation, or otherwise, and appro- priate, for the purpose of developing additional playground space on part of Lot 13, Block 157, Sheet 13, of the Atlas of the Town of Weymouth for the year 1951, which land abuts the Abigail Adams School grounds, and was taken for school purposes under Article 49 of the Annual Town Meeting in 1950; or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 48. (At Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- priate, for the purpose of adding the names of veterans of World War II to the permanent War Memorial situated on the High School grounds, and to renovate said War Memorial; or to take any other action in re- lation thereto.
ARTICLE 49. (At Request of Central Junior High School Building Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appropriate, for the purpose of preparing com- plete drawings, working drawings, and detailed specifications, in order that bids for construction of a Central Junior High School may be secured by the Building Committee authorized under Article 3 of the Special TuwIl Meeting held on June 23, 1952; or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 50. (At Request of General School Building Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or other- wise, and appropriate, for the construction of an addition to the Pond

School, including the alterations to the building that are necessary to connect the addition thereto, and for the purchase of the necessary furni- ture and equipment for the addition, or take any other action in rela- tion thereto.
ARTICLE 51. (At Request of General School Building Committee). To see what action the Town will take to reduce the amount of the bond is- sue authorized under Article 1 of the Special Town Meeting held on Oc- tober 27, 1952 for the purpose of constructing an addition to the Bicknell School; or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 52. (At Request of General School Building Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appropriate, for certain alterations to the Bicknell School, such sum to equal the amount of the deduction voted under Article 51 above; or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 53. (At Request of School Committee). To see if the Town will vote to accept Chapter 514 of the Acts of 1952 enacted by the General Court on June 20, 1952, which Act provides a pension of $1200 per annum, to be paid in equal monthly installments to Miss Sarah E. Brassil, a long- time teacher in the Weymouth Schools, and to raise and appropriate said sum of $1200 to provide for such pension, or take any other action in re- lation thereto.
LIBRARIES
ARTICLE 54. (At Direction of Tufts Library). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $5000 to acquire by purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee certain land of Roy F. and Ger- trude F. Vining on North Street, containing 12,705 square feet more or less; and land of Clara E. Taylor on North Street containing 13,338 square feet more or less, for the purpose of establishing a branch library thereon, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 55. (At Direction of Trustees of Tufts Library). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $5000 to prepare plans and specifications for a branch library to be built on that site, or take any other action in relation thereto.
RECREATION
ARTICLE 56. (At Request of Park Commissioners). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the completion of construction of the Mosquito Plain Playground, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 57. (At Request of Idlewell Improvement and Educational Association). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of acquiring by gift or purchase or taking by right of eminent domain in fee for park purposes, certain lots of land shown on the 1951 Atlas of the Town of Weymouth, Sheet 9, Block 136, Lots No. 33, 34, 35 and 36, containing approximately 23,684 square feet, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 58. (At Request of Idlewell Improvement and Education Association). To see what sum or money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of developing land already acquired and spe- cifically designated for park purposes, by action taken on Article 74 as approved in the Special Town Meeting of Monday, April 16, 1951, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 59. (By Request of the Weymouth Veterans Council). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate three hundred dollars ($300) to be used under the direction of the Park Department for the replacing of three wooden signs to three bronze plaques at veterans squares already dedicated in the Town.
SEWER DEPARTMENT
ARTICLE 60. (At Request of Planning Board). To see what action the Town will take to authorize the Sewer Department to supply the necessary sewer pipe to be laid in new developments and the costs of such pipe to be taken out of the general sewerage appropriation, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 61. (At Request of Planning Board). To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $22,000 for the installation of a sewer main on Commercial Street from Rindge Street to the trunk at Essex Street and to connect to said trunk, or to take any action in rela- tion thereto.
UNCLASSIFIED
ARTICLE 62. (At Request of Planning Board). To see what action the Town will take to establish fifteen feet as the minimum distance from any lot line, an outdoor incinerator may be located, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 63. (At Request of Planning Board). To see what action the Town will take to revise Section 511, Paragraph 1 of the Town By-Law by deleting the words, "19 inches wide by 28 inches long" and substituting therefor the words "in accordance with Land Court sizes" so as to read, "A plan and profile done in ink on tracing cloth in accordance with Land Court sizes at a scale of not less than one inch to 40 feet of every street shall be filed in the office of the Superintendent of Streets who shall affix the grade thereon," or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 64. (By Request of the Planning Board.) That the sum of $500.00 be raised and appropriated to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen for a committee of three comprising one Selectman, one member of the Planning Board and the Town Counsel to work in conjunction with the Weymouth Chamber of Commerce to bring desirable business into the Town, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 65. (By Request of the Planning Board.) To see what action the Town will take to reimburse contractors and developers for the cost of water pipe in excess of six-inch sizes, for all valves, hydrants and con- nections from the water mains to the property lines, or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 66. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to enter into a lease with the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad for use of two parcels of land, one comprising an area of about 5,625 square feet, the other comprising an area of about 7,000 square feet in the lessor's South Weymouth freight yard in the Town of Weymouth and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, entitled :- "New York, New Haven and Hartford Real Estate and Right of Way Department Land in South Weymouth, Mass. To be leased to Town of Weymouth, Scale 1"=100', Nov., 1952"; for the sole purpose of free public parking of automobiles, at a

rental of a sum equal to any and all real estate taxes and assessments, for public improvement, if any, as may be assessed or levied upon the area. of which the leased premises are a part, in any year from the date of the lease and during the term of the lease.
ARTICLE 67. (On Petition by the Smelt Brook Merchants Associa- tion.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and approp- riate for the purpose of acquiring by gift, purchase, or eminent domain, in fee, a parcel of land owned by C. H. Rogers Realty Corporation on Com- mercial Street and the rear of the properties of the C. H. Rogers Realty Corporation and Marilyn W. Wolff, and shown on a plan made by Russell H. Whiting, Civil Engineer, dated January 30, 1953, containing approxi- mately 19,700 square feet of land, as a site for a parking area and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to take said property by right of emi- nent domain for such parking area purposes, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 68. (At Request of the Building Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the con- struction of a Public Works Building or a Highway Department Building in accordance with plans of the Public Works Building Committee and the custody of this building to be under control of the Board of Selectmen.
ARTICLE 69. (At Request of the Building Committee.) That the Town vote to purchase, accept as gift, or take by right of eminent domain in fee simple, for the purposes of a Public Works Building or a Highway Department Building, the land of Domenick M. Petrell shown as Lot 6, Block 375, Sheet 29 of the Town of Weymouth Atlas corrected to Jan. 1, 1951, containing approximately 311,000 square feet, more or less, and all in accordance with a plan drawn by Russell H. Whiting, Town Engineer, dated Jan. 8, 1953, and that a sum of money be raised and appropriated for this purpose, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 70. (At the Request of the Weymouth Permanent Fire- men's Association.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $3,600.00, to be expended under the direction of the head of the Fire Department for the purpose of providing $50.00 per man for uniform allowance per year.
ARTICLE 71. (At the Request of Local 772, A. F. of L.) To see if the Town will vote to pay all labor service of the Town at the rate of time and one-haf for all overtime, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 72. (By Direction of the Board of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will accept Chapter 624 of the Acts of 1952 relative to increasing the amounts of pensions, retirement allowances and annuities payable to certain former pubic employees.
ARTICLE 73. (By Direction of the Board of Selectmen.) To see what action the Town will take on the purchase of one or more voting machines, or take any other action in relation thereto.
