The town enjoyed a second visit from Councillor Edward Slater of Wakefield, England, this time accompanied by his gracious and charming wife. They were entertained by various organizations and friends. This visit helped to cement tighter the close friendship established by Mr. Slater's first visit.
The members of the Board are very appreciative of the co-operation they received this past year from the other Boards and particularly from the Heads of Departments and personnel under their supervision.
