SPECIAL TOWN MEETING SEPT. 15, 1952
The meeting convened at the time and place specified, Paul B. Johnson elected moderator pro tempore, a quorum declared present, the call of the warrant read by the Town Clerk and under:
Article 1. Voted unanimously to transfer the sum of $6,000.00 from the Excess and Deficiency Account to South Westfield Street Sewer Construction, said construction to be done under the Betterment Act.
Article 2. Voted unanimously, that this article be amended so that the sum of $14,759.27 be transferred to the Suffield Street Sewer Construction from the following accounts: Mill and Perry Street Sewer, $486.65; Hall Street Sewer, $212.81; Franklin Street Sewer, $1,619.10; Main St. Sewer, $605.14; South Park Terrace Sewer, $675.57; Venturi Meter House Sewer, $2,160.00; and Excess and Deficiency Account, $9,000.00. Said construction to be done under the Betterment Act.
Article 3. Voted to transfer the sum of $490.00 to the Civil Defense Account from the following accounts: Liability Insurance, $154.47; Insurance on Town Vehicles, $244.85; Surety Bonds, $26.00; Main Street Sidewalk, $32.00; Wyman Street Surface Drainage, $21.67; Kensington Street Surface Drainage, $11.01, to make the necessary repairs in the Observa- tion Tower at the airport property located on Silver Street.
Article 4. Voted unanimously to pay the sum of $65.40 for a 1951 hospital bill, from the 1952 appropriation for Wel- fare, General Relief.
Article 5. Voted to transfer the sum of $500.00 to the Addressograph Account from the following accounts: 1951 Springfield Street Sidewalk, $282.58; Ottawa Street Resurfac- ing, $126.00; Bridge Street Sidewalk, West Side, $87.00; Bridge Street Sidewalk, East Side, $4.42; for the cutting of plates.
Article 6. Voted to adopt the redistricting of voting pre- cincts under the authority of General Laws, Chapter 54, Sec- tions 6 and 7 as provided in a report of the Selectmen, filed with the Town Clerk on July 29, 1952. "For Report see next Page."
Article 7. Voted to authorize the Board of Selectmen to

execute and deliver any and all deeds rectifying and confirming prior deeds from Town of Agawam to purchasers of land in said Town. This vote being for the purpose of correcting errors in prior deeds.
Article 8. Voted to authorize the Agawam Housing Au- thority to construct not more than 32 additional dwelling units on their present site.
Article 9. Voted 72 YES - 13 NO - to amend the Personnel By-Law adopted June 2, 1952, by inserting in Section 8 thereof the following new classification and pay scale there- fore :

In accordance with a vote of the Town Meeting of June 2, 1952, under Article 16, we, the Board of Selectmen, hereby sub- mit our report of the redivision of the voting precincts of the Town into five precincts to be known as Precincts 1 to 5 inclusive.
The number of voters registered in each of the five pre- cints for the past town election was as follows:

The boundaries of the proposed precincts will be as follows :
Precinct 1. All that portion of the Town included within the following lines: Beginning at the center of the Agawam Bridge, and running thence southwesterly through the center of said Bridge and westerly and southwesterly through the center of Springfield Street to the point of its junction with Letendre Avenue; thence northerly through the center of Letendre Ave- nue to its junction with North Street; thence westerly through the center of said North Street to its intersection with a brook or stream, commonly called White Brook; thence northerly and westerly through the center of said stream to the Westfield River; northeasterly, easterly and southerly by the said West- field River to the place of beginning.
Precinct 2. All that portion of the Town situated westerly of the westerly boundary of Precinct 1 as described, extending from the junction of said White Brook and the Westfield River southerly to the intersection of Letendre Avenue and Springfield Street and running thence southwesterly through the center of said Springfield Street to its junction with Poplar Street; thence southwesterly through the center of Poplar Street to its junction with Garden Street; thence southeasterly through the center of said Garden Street to its junction with Silver Street; thence easterly through the center of said Silver Street to its intersection with Suffield Street and thence southerly through the center of Suffield Street to the Connecticut State Line.
Precinct 3. All that portion of the Town included within the following lines: Beginning at the point of the intersection of Main Street and Springfield Street and running thence westerly and southwesterly through the center of said Springfield Street to its junction with Poplar Street; thence southwesterly through the center of said Poplar Street to its junction with Garden Street; thence southeasterly through the center of said Garden Street to its junction with Silver Street; thence easterly through the center of said Silver Street to its intersection wtih Suffield Street and thence northerly through the center of Suffield Street to the point of beginning.
Precinct 4. All that portion of the Town lying between the center lines of Suffield Street and Main Street from the point of their intersection to the Connecticut State Line.
Precinct 5. All that portion of the Town lying easterly of Main Street and not included within the limits of the previously described Precincts 1, 2, 3, or 4.
