This law amends General Laws, chapter 131, as pre- viously amended, by repealing section 105A thereof and adding thereto three new sections, 105B, 105C and 114A.
Section 105B provides that whoever uses any trap or other device for capture of fur bearing animals, which is not designed to kill such animal at once or to take it

unhurt and which is likely to cause continued suffering to an animal caught therein, shall be fined fifty dollars, but traps or other devices for protection of property, set not more than fifty yards from any building, cultivated plot, or enclosures used for rearing poultry or game birds, to the use of which the presence of vermin may be detri- mental, are excluded from the application of this section.
Section 105C provides for the. submission to the voters at a municipal election in any city or town upon petition, of the question of whether the operation of sec- tion 105B shall be suspended or if it has been already suspended, of the question whether it shall again be oper- ative in such city or town.
Section 114A provides that the Commissioner of Con- servation may suspend the operation of section 105B for a period not exceeding thirty days within any specified territory under the control of his department.
The law also provides for the submission, by the se- lectmen to the voters at a special town meeting in the current year, upon petition, of the question as to whether the provisions of section 105B shall be suspended in any town; and which was approved by both branches of the General Court by vote not recorded be approved ?

Arlington, Mass., November 16, 1934.
Pursuant to law the Town Clerk, James J. Carroll of Lexington and the Town Clerk of Arlington met in the office of the Town Clerk, Arlington, on Friday, the six- teenth day of November, nineteen hundred and thirty- four at 12 o'clock noon, for the purpose of canvassing the votes cast on the sixth day of November for two Repre- sentatives to the General Court of the Commonwealth to represent the Twenty-eighth Middlesex District.
The canvass showed the following result of the votes cast in Arlington and Lexington.
In Arlington John A. Carr, Jr. had six thousand, four hundred fifteen (6415)
In Lexington John A. Carr, Jr. had one thousand one hundred twenty-nine (1129)

Accordingly a recount for the above mentioned offices was held on November 20, 1934 at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon.
The meeting was called to order by Timothy J. Buck- ley, Chairman of the Board of Registrars, in the Hearing Room of the Robbins Memorial Town Hall.
The persons appointed to assist the Registrars in the recount were sworn to the faithful performance of their duties by the Town Clerk.
The candidates for the above mentioned offices had been duly notified by registered mail.
The meeting then adjourned to the main auditorium.
Fourteen tables were used in the recount.

Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby required to notify and warn the legal voters of the Town of Arlington to meet in the Town Hall in said Town on Monday, the 26th day of November, 1934 at 8 o'clock, P. M., to act on the following Articles, viz:
Article 1. To hear and act upon the reports of the Finance and other committees heretofore appointed.
Article 2. To see if the Town will make appropria- tions and/or additional appropriations to defray Town obligations, liabilities, outlay and expenses especially for or relating to all or any of the boards, departments, pur- poses, and matters hereinafter mentioned; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.
Board of Public Works, Sanitary Division, Division of Highways and Bridges and Removal of Snow and Ice; to defray necessary engineering and trucking expenses and to purchase tools, equipment and materials to carry on certain public works and improvements in connection with Federal Emergency Relief Administration projects ; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 3. To see if the Town will amend its Zoning By-Law by altering the zoning map therein referred to so as to include in an Industrial District all of the area now included in the Unrestricted District bounded as follows:

Article 5. To see if the Town will amend its zoning by-law by altering the zoning map therein referred to so as to include in a semi-residence district the area now included in the general residence district bounded as follows :
Beginning at a point on the northeasterly side line of the new Concord Highway at a point ten feet, more or less, from the intersection of the northerly side line of Lake Street; thence running northwesterly three hun- dred thirty feet, more or less, by said Concord Highway to the shore of Spy Pond; thence running northeasterly by the shores of Spy Pond one hundred ninety feet, more or less, to the land of Metropolitan Ice Company; thence running easterly two hundred feet, more or less, to a driveway on the land of the said Metropolitan Ice Com- pany; thence running southwesterly three hundred feet, more or less by the westerly side of said driveway to the point of beginning ; or take any action relating thereto.

Davis, Director of Park Engineering, being plan accession No. 21869, re- corded with Middlesex South District Deeds on October 26, 1934; or take any action relating thereto.

CONSTABLE'S RETURN
Arlington, Mass., Nov. 23, 1934.
Middlesex County
By virtue of this warrant I have notified and warned the legal voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the time and place and for the purposes herein named by causing a printed attested copy of the same to be left at every dwelling house in the Town, and by posting an at- tested copy at the doors of the Town Hall seven days at least before said day of meeting and by posting attested copies in two or more conspicuous places in each voting precinct in the Town. A notice of the time, place and ob- jects of the meeting was published in the local papers.

Pursuant to the Warrant of the Selectmen served ac- cording to law upon the inhabitants of the Town of Arling- ton, by a constable of the said Town, and sent by mail by the Town Clerk seven days before the day of meeting to the Town Meeting Members duly elected and qualified to act in Town Meetings in Arlington, the Town Meeting Members met at the Robbins Memorial Town Hall in said Town on Monday, November 26, 1934 at eight o'clock in the evening.
Lists of the duly qualified Town Meeting Members were used at the entrance of the meeting place and were in charge of Philip T. Robinson and James E. Sweeney.
