Article 20. Article 21. To see if the Town will authorize the ac- quisition by purchase, eminent domain or otherwise, of any land, easements or rights therein, including an ease-

ment or easements in land adjoining the location of any or all public ways, the laying out of which is accepted at this meeting, consisting of a right to have the land of the location protected by having the surface of such adjoin- ing land slope from the boundary of the location; make an appropriation for such acquisition; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 22. To see if the Town will make an appropri- ation or appropriations to pay debts, obligations and/or expenses incurred prior to January 1, 1934 and more par- ticularly will appropriate the sum of ninety-seven hundred sixty-six and 09/100 (9766.09) dollars or any other sum in connection with snow and ice removal; the sum of thirty-three hundred forty-eight and 61/100 (3348.61) dollars or any other sum in connection with the Public Welfare Department for Welfare Aid; or take any action relating to all or any of the foregoing.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to acquire from the Trustees of Robbins Public Library, full title to the building on Massachusetts Avenue, known as Grand Army Hall, and the lot on which said building stands, to repair said building, and to maintain said building for the headquarters of the various organizations of war veterans of Arlington, all in accordance with sections 9 and 9a, Chapter 40, General Laws of Massachusetts, the mainten- ance of said building to be under the direction and control of a board of Three Trustees to be appointed as the Town may direct, agreeable to the petition of Walter E. Lom- bard, President, and Joseph Peterson, Secretary of the Arlington Allied Veterans Council, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter.

Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to acquire the building on Massachusetts Avenue, now known as

Grand Army Hall, repair and remodel the same and make additions thereto at a cost not exceeding thirty-five thou- sand dollars ($35,000) in order to provide suitable head- quarters for the War Veteran organizations of Arlington, said building to be a Memorial to the late Alfred F. Knowles of Post 36, G. A. R., all in accordance with Sec- tions 9 and 9a, Chapter 40, General Laws of Massachu- setts, and will appoint a committee consisting of the Board of Selectmen and three war veterans, one from each war veteran organization of Arlington, to prepare plans and sketches of said remodelled building, to be submitted to the next town meeting for its approval before any portion of said appropriation can be used, said committee to have charge of the construction of said building after the ap- proval of said plans, agreeable to the petition of Walter E. Lombard, President, and Joseph Peterson, Secretary of the Arlington Allied Veterans Council, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter.

To see if the Town will vote to appoint a committee, consisting of the Board of Selectmen and three war veterans, one from each war veteran organiza- tion, to investigate the advisability and desirability of acquiring the building on Massachusetts Avenue, now known as Grand Army Hall, repairing and remodelling the same, and making additions thereto in order to pro- vide suitable headquarters for the organizations of war veterans of Arlington, of all wars in which the United States has been engaged, said building to be known as the Knowles Memorial Veterans Building, and will appropri- ate the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) to be expended by said committee in preparing plans and sketches of the addition and remodelling of said building, said committee to report to the next town meeting, all in accordance with Sections 9 and 9a, Chapter 40, General Laws of Massachusetts, agreeable to the petition of

Article 26. To see if the Town will abandon the tak- ing establishing exterior lines of a way from Medford Street to Mystic Street, the establishment of which lines was accepted by the Town under Article 8 for a Town Meeting held on April 9, 1930, and the taking establishing the said lines was dated April 28, 1930, and recorded with Middlesex South District Deeds on May 2, 1930; reference to said Article 8 and to said taking for a more specific description of the lines is hereby made.

Article 27. To see if the town will approve the fol- lowing proposed regulation of the Cemetery Commission- ers relative to the sale of lots in Mount Pleasant Ceme- tery, to wit:

Article 30. To see if the Town will amend or alter the Town's by-law known as the "Building Code" by adding

at the end of paragraph (b) of Section 1-11 of Division 1 -Administration, the following sentence: "A fee of Three Dollars shall be paid by the applicant for filing the sketch plan required by this section.", so that said para- graph shall read as follows : " (b) Street Lines and Grades. Every applicant for a permit shall file with same a sketch plan on which is shown the size and shape of lot, the lines and grades of any public or private street, square, lane or alley, together with location of all sewers if any within 50 feet of the proposed structure or excavation. (This in- formation is available in the office of the Town Engineer.) It is also required to be shown on same sketch plan the size, shape and location of the proposed building, any building already located on the lot, the grade of first floor in relation to street grade, and the location of all walls of buildings on adjoining lots within 8 feet of lot lines. The applicant shall locate the proposed wall, building or struc- ture with due regard to such lines, grades and sewer loca- tions. A fee of Three Dollars shall be paid by the appli- cant for filing the sketch plan required by this section.", or will otherwise amend or alter said paragraph with re- lation to a fee for filing such sketch plan; will make an appropriation for publishing such amended paragraph; or take any other action relating thereto.
Article 31. To see if the Town will accept sections 7 and 8 of chapter 136 of the General Laws and any amend- ments thereto relating to the granting to reputable per- sons who on secular days are retail dealers in ice cream, confectionery, soda water or fruit, licenses to keep open their places of business on the Lord's day for the retail sale of said food products only.
Article 32. To see if the Town will amend its Zoning By-law by altering the zoning map therein referred to so as to include in a Business District all of the area on the easterly side of River Street, now included in a General Residence District, bounded as follows :
