And you will notify and warn the voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the time and place herein specified by leaving at every dwelling house in the Town a printed copy of this Warrant, and also by posting a copy of the same at the doors of the Town Hall, and in a conspicuous place in each of the fourteen precincts of the Town, seven days at least prior to the time of said meeting.

SPECIAL MEETING
Arlington, Mass., March 21, 1934.
Pursuant to the Warrant of the Selectmen served according to law upon the inhabitants of the Town of Arlington, by a constable of the said Town and sent by mail by the Town Clerk seven days before the day of meeting to the Town Meeting Members duly elected and qualified to act in Town Meetings in Arlington, the Town Meeting Members met at the Robbins Memorial Town Hall in said Town on Wednesday, March 21, 1934 at eight- thirty o'clock in the evening.
Lists of the duly qualified Town Meeting Members were used at the entrances of the meeting place and were in charge of Philip T. Robinson and James E. Sweeney.
The check lists filed with the Town Clerk at the close of the meeting showed that two hundred and thirty mem- bers attended the meeting.
James C. Carr, stenographer, was sworn by the Town Clerk to impartially and correctly report the proceedings of the meeting to the best of his ability.
The Moderator called the meeting to order at 8:30 o'clock P. M. declaring a quorum present.

dollars) ; to pay for the Town's share of interest and other charges on account of said Loan, of any other indebted- ness and expenses incurred and outstanding under said chapter 10 and of interest on said bonds due in the year 1934 (amounting to three thousand six hundred ten and 48/100 (3,610.48) dollars more or less) ; and to pay for the Town's share of the cost and the care and treatment of tubercular patients under the provisions of chapter 385 of the Acts of 1928 as amended or otherwise (amount- ing to one thousand, eight hundred sixty-four and 11/100 (1,864.11) dollars more or less), and of the cost of the care, maintenance and repairs of the Middlesex County Hospital and other expenses on account of said Hospital for the year 1933 including interest on tem- porary notes issued therefor in accordance with sections 85 and 85A of chapter 111 of the General Laws or other- wise and for all other expenses in connection therewith (amounting to seven thousand two hundred ninety-five and 95/100 (7,295.95) dollars more or less), all as set forth in the order of the County Commissioners of the County of Middlesex, dated January 17, 1934; and that said sum be raised by general tax and expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.

ANNUAL MEETING
Arlington, March 21, 1934
The business of the Warrant of the Special Meeting having been disposed of the Moderator declared the Ad- journed Annual Meeting of this same date called to order.
When this meeting adjourned to take up the Special Meeting Article 4A was before the meeting a substitute motion having been offered by Mr. Giffin and amended by Mr. Moore. On the amendment of Mr. Moore being put before the meeting the motion was lost.
Thomas G. Hennessy, a voter of the town, presented a petition for a roll call on Article 4A of the Warrant. The Moderator explained the proceedings of a roll call to the Town Meeting Members. The clerk called the roll a can- vass of which showed one hundred and sixty-two (162) voting in the affirmative and sixty-nine (69) in the nega- tive on the original motion as set forth in the printed re- port of the Finance Committee under Article 4A which is as follows :
Voted: That the Town accept all transfers, gifts and contributions by town officers and employees of portions of their respective compensations, salaries and wages, upon the terms specified by such officers and employees ; and that the Town hereby determines that all sums re- ceived from or in connection with any and all such trans- fers, gifts and contributions shall be used for aged citi- zens assistance; soldiers' relief, burials and exemptions ; public welfare aid; and expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.
The Moderator declared Article 4A disposed of.

Arlington, March 28, 1934.
Pursuant to the vote of adjournment on March 21, 1934 the Town Meeting Members met in the Town Hall on Wednesday, March 28, 1934, notices having been sent by mail by the Town Clerk seven days before the meeting and posted in each precinct. A notice was published in the local paper.

Voted: (Unanimously) That the laying out of a town way from Lake Street to Dorothy Road, substantially in the location of the private way known as Burch Street, as more particularly described in Art. 14 of the Warrant, under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments, as made and reported by the Joint Board of Selectmen and Board of Public Works, be accepted, said way established and said Joint Board authorized to take land for the purpose of said way.
