Article 18. In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40, Section 27, of the General Laws, a public hearing was held in the Town Hall on Monday, February 29, 1960 at 8:00 P.M. on the following matter: To rezone to business from residential, a parcel of land owned by John A. D'Aniello situated on the northwesterly side of Washington Street.
After hearing the pros and cons of the interested residents from this area, the majority of the Planning Board feels that we are neigh- boring on spot zoning where the area is strictly residential.
VOTED the recommendation that the article be indefinitely post- poned.
Article 40. To see if the Town will vote to modify the present zoning laws and zoning map prepared by the Town Planning Board, a copy of which has been filed with the Town Clerk, or do anything relating thereto.
The following report and recommendation was read by the Town Planning Board. In accordance with the provision of Chapter 40, Section 27 of the General Laws, a public hearing was held at the high

school Auditorium on Monday, February 15, 1960, at 8:00 P.M. to see if the Town will vote to modify the present zoning laws and zoning map prepared by the Town Planning Board, a copy of which has been filed with the Town Clerk, or do anything relating thereto. The Planning Board had drawn up a new set of zoning by-laws and a new zoning map, a copy of which was filed with the Town Clerk. Copies of the proposed zoning laws were distributed to the various Town officials and published in the local newspaper.
There were approximately 100 people in attendance at this hear- ing and the by-laws in general and in total were discussed and the plans explained. As a result of the hearing the Planning Board makes the following recommendation.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Town vote to modify the present zoning laws and zoning map prepared by the Town Planning Board, a copy of which has been filed with the Town Clerk.
