Warrant for Town Meeting
Oxford ss.
State of Maine.
To Wm. P. Hayford, Constable of the town of Hartford, County of Oxford, Greeting:
In the name of the state of Maine you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town of Hartford qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to assemble at the town hall in said town on Monday, the 9th day of March A. D. 1908 at 10 o'clock in the fore- noon to act on the following articles, to wit:
Art. 1st. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Art. 2d. To see if the town will vote to accept the report of the several town officers.
Art. 3rd. To choose all necessary town officers for the ensuing year.
Art. 4tb. To see if the town will grant and raise such sums of money as may be necessary for the maintenance and support of schools, the poor, repairs of roads and bridges and to defray all other town charges for the ensuing year.
Art. 5th. To see what action the town will take in relation to precuring rollers to break roads in winter.
Art. 6th. To see what action the town will take in relation to erecting flags on schoolhouses.
Art. 7th. To see if the town will vote to discontinue the old Reynolds road so called leading easterly from the main road between Mrs. C. M. Francis' and E. E. Piper's.
Art. 8tb. To see if the town will choose three men to take a gen- eral valuation of the real estate and get a legal description of the same.
Art. 9th. To see if the town will raise a certain amount of money to procure covering stones for some of the culverts and small bridges and make arrangements for the same.

Art. 10th. To see if the town will vote "yes" or "no" upon the adoption of the provisions of Chapter 112 of the Public Laws of Maine, for the year 1907, relating to the appropriation of money necessary to entitle the town to State aid for highways for the year 1908.
Art. 11th. To see if the town will raise, appropriate and set apart for the permanent improvement of the main highways within the town, such sum of money as is contemplated and directed by Section 5 of Chapter 112 of the Public Laws of Maine for the year 1907, being the sum of $48.
Art. 12th. To see if the town will vote to authorize its superin- tending school committee to join with other towns for the purpose of employing a Superintendent of Schools in accordance with the provisions of Sections 40 to 45 inclusive, of Chapter 15 of the Revised Statutes.
Art. 13th. To see if the town will vote to convert the unexpended balances of the high school accounts to the use of the common schools.
. Art. 14tb. To see if the town will vote to maintain the Glover school for the ensuing year.
Art. 15th. To see what action the town will take in relation to fighting brown tail moths.
Art. 16th. To see if the town will vote to accept the list of jurors as revised by the Selectmen, Clerk and Treasurer.
Art. 17th. To see if the town "agreeable to an amendment of Section 13 of Chapter 4 of the Revised Statutes by the last legisla- ture" will vote to elect a road commissioner for the term of three years.
Art. 18th. To see if the town will vote to grant a discount or levy an interest on taxes and if so to fix the dates and amounts.
Art. 19th. To see if the town will vote to have all winter road work turned on taxes.
Art. 20th. To see if the town will vote to pay Edwin Howard for one sheep and one lamb that he claims were killed by dogs.
Art. 21st. To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.

The Selectmen will be in session for the purpose of revising the the list of voters at the town hall at 9 o'clock in the forenoon of the day of said meeting.
