Art. 17. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise to purchase school books.

Art. 27. To see if the town will vote "yes" or "no" upon the adoption of the Provisions of Chapter 112 of the Public Laws of Maine for the year relating to the appropriation of money neees- sary to entitle the town to State Aid for highways for the year 1909.


Art. 28. To see if the town will raise, appropriate and set apart, for the permanent improvement of the state road within the town, such sum of money as is contemplated and directed by Section 5 of Chapter 112 of the Public Laws of Maine for the year 1907, being the sum of $50.50


Art. 29. To see if the town will vote to fix the price per hour for labor performed on the highwao, for men oxen and horses.


Art. 30. To see if the town will vote to lay an underground sewer from the culvert near A. W. Smith's blacksmith shop to Wesserunsett Stream, and if so to see how much money the town will vote to raise for that purpose, or take any action in relation thereto.

Art. 31. To see if the town will vote to authorize the Select- men or Road Commissioner to make a roller for use in breaking roads in the winter season and if so to see how much money the town will vote to raise for that purpose.


Art. 32. To see if the town will vote to tax, or exempt from taxation, the lumber in the town of Athens.


Art. 33. To see if the town will vote to authorize the Select- men to hire money and issue town orders on interest therefor to pay orders due and demanded, said money to be first paid to the Town Treasurer and paid by him on said orders.


Art. 34. To see if the town will take any action in favor of building an electric railroad from either Skowhegan, Hartland or Mainstream to Athens.


Art. 35., To see if the town will vote to raise and repair the highway near the dwelling house of Charles Gardner and if so, to see how much money the town will vote to raise for that pur- pose.


You are also required to give notice that the Selectmen will be in session on the said day and at the said place of meeting, from nine until ten of the clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of correcting the list of voters.


Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon at or before said day of meeting.
