Second term taught by the same teacher. Perfect attendance, Glen H. Hart and Raymond Hoffman.
Third term, one pupil attended school at Wood- stock and one child was given private instruction by Isa M. Brown.
The schools, taken as a whole, have had a success- ful year. For the most part experienced teachers have been obtained, who have done faithful work.
As the number of school weeks have been length- ened, the children are better able to do the work of pupils in the same grade in other towns. The schools have been in session thirty-two weeks.
Under the new appointment, this town is required by law to raise for schools $577.50 in addition to $671.50, to make a total of $1,249.00. Last year state aid was received of $150.80 for average attendance.
41
As oft repeated, the stimulus given to children and teachers by frequent visits from parents and friends cannot be sufficiently appreciated.
We desire to thank all persons who have helped to improve the schools.
Respectfully submitted, I. F. HAZELTINE, AFFIE R. MERRILL, WALTER I. LEE,
School Board.
