Canaan, N. H., Feb. 19, 1897.
The undersigned, auditors of said town of Canaan, have ex- amined the accounts of the Treasurer, Selectmen, Overseer of the Poor, Highway Agents and Trustees of Town Library of said town for the year ending Feb. 15, 1897, and find them correct and properly vouched.
The difference between the amount reported due from the county last year of $331.85 and the amount of $304.90 reported this year as received from the county is accounted for by the al- lowance to the county of $14.20 received by the town from Z. P. Wood and the disallowance by the county of an item of $12.75. The auditors desire to again call attention to the fact that trust funds are not reported as liabilities.
