Mrs. Mildred Clough has acted as assistant librarian since last May and has proved very efficient.
Through the generosity of the Board of Trustees the librarian was enabled to attend the Library Summer School which was held at Durham, Aug. 16-21. It was a week of great profit and pleasure.
The library has been the recipient of over 40 books from the estate of the late Mrs. J. G. Moore, the gift of her brother, Mr. Charles Shipman of 'Montpelier, Vt. Also, a roll-top desk. Mrs. Grace . Walker bas also presented the library with a bust of " Clytie."
The library has been liberally patronized during the year, as will be seen by the circulation.
Respectfully submitted,
NETTIE LOUISE KELSEA, Librarian.
Lisbon, N. H., Feb. 16, 1921.
The latter part of October a meeting of the Trustees was held at the Sugar Hill library. Combined with this meeting was a tea given by Mrs. Richardson and Miss Parker. The Trus-
28
tees inspected the library and expressed much satisfaction with its condition and management. Miss Kelsea, together with the wives and husbands of the trustees, were included in the party. The occasion afforded a delightful opportunity for the trustees to become better acquainted with the work of the Sugar Hill Branch and with those especially interested in its welfare.

It is with much pleasure that I write this my thirteenth annual report of the library. The increase in attendance and circulation is most pleasing, but best of all is the fact that I can report a visit to the library by all the trustees and Miss Kelsea during the year.
33
The work of making scrap-books for the Boston Children's Hospital has been taken up by the children, and many a day they will gather from the age of 4 to 15 and work for hours. It not only affords them amusement but teaches them to be thoughtful of others.
I wish I had the space to explain to all who receive this report the wonderful work that is being done in Boston along these lines to brighten the lives of the many sick children. I will be glad to explain the scrap-books more fully to any one wishing to take up the work.
I wish to thank the Board of Trustees for their help the past year and for their kindness in sending Miss Ruth E. Bowles to Summer school.
Respectfully submitted,
JERUSHA ELIZABETH PARKER.
