271 JOSEPH ALBERT THROCKMORTON, son of Edmond Throckmorton, 173, was born July 3, 1827; died Apr. 20, 1907. He was a wealthy merchant, an emi- nent citizen of Red Bank, and an honorable and generous man. He was unmarried, and President of the Second National Bank.


By his will he disposed of an estate of about $150,000., to various relatives, includ- ing: brother Tylee W. Throckmorton; sister Anna M. Conover; niece Susan McClaren Throckmorton; niece Josephine Throckmorton; cousin Alida V. R. Throckmorton; cousin Mary E. Adams; cousin Julia M. Vidall; and Harriet, daughter of Samuel Throckmorton.
