Since Mr. Clark became competed with the office. some seven Fars ago, and Mr. Waite two years since. they have increased the circulation and influence of the papers wonderfully. Allenbrand, Hardware dealer at Dunkirk, has had twenty years experience as a tin and copper worker. He sells a general assortment of goods usually kept in a hardware store, and is agent for the "Gary Iron Roofing." Call at his store and select your goods. His Cook and Parlor Stoves are among the best the market affords. See card on page 214.


Thos. P. Grosvenor, Attorney and Counselor at Law, at Dunkirk, office over the Lake Shore Bank. He will give prompt attention to legal business, and with fidelity to his customers, is prepared to draw conveyances and legal papers of any kind. Card on page 294.


Skinner & Gifford Manufac. turing Co., at Dunkirk, manufacture Rail Road Supplies, Machinery. Mill Gearing, Fence Railings &c, and are the sole manufacturers of Skinner's Patent Bench Hook. The business of this firm is very extensive. employing a large force of men and machinery. It is such works as these and other manufacturing interests that build up a town and give it permanent and healthy growth. Card on page 312.


R. Mulholland exhibits a nice buggy on page 216, and yet that is nothing to what he can do. He employs expe- rienced men and uses good material, as his many customers can testify. Renem- ber Mulholland when you want a new Wagon. He will do his best to suit you. Card on page 216.


Durfee, Post & Co., are whole- sale dealers in Fresh Fish, at Erie, Pa. These gentlemen have a large fish trap in the lake, in which they secure fish driven into it by means of very long nets. Off ! the dining-room is a large carving room and servants' Gning-room; and to the rear of this is the kitchen, filled up with a large size cooking range, and other ap- mirtenances complete in every respect. The Hotel accommodates about forty regular boarders, and there are forty well furnished rooms for travelers. In the saloon parlor is one of Chickering's grand pianos, for the exclusive use of quests. The landlords are gentlemen who will devote themselves to the com- fort and convenience of their guests. We are sure the Gifford House will draw its full share of the traveling custom.


Charles Blood, proprietor of the "Dunkirk Furniture Store," established business here in 1×59. He manufactures on an extensive scale, is an experienced U'p- holsterer, and therefore can warrant his goods understandingly. During the years he has been at the head of the Furniture business here, he has found customers from all the surrounding counties.
