In this school, tuition and the use of text books are free to those that pledge themselves to ' teach for a reasonable time in the public schools of the State of New York.


Pupils must be at least sixteen years of age, and must be appointed by the State Superin- tendent of Public Instruction, on the recommendation of a School Commissioner or City Superintendent of Schools.


The courses of instruction are three :- The Elementary English, requiring two years ; the Advanced English, requiring three years ; and the Classical, requiring four years.


A diploma of either course is a permanent license to teach in the public schools of the State.


There is also an Academic Department, in which tuition is charged.
