J. Aldous, proprietor of the Central House, publishes a card on page 232, to which we invite the attention of the public. This House is centrally located in the flour- ishing village of Gouverneur. It has re- cently been thoroughly repaired, and under the management of its present occupant will be found to be a pleasant home for the weary traveler. J. R. McAlister, Rossie, N. Y., is the patentee and manufacturer of the Economy Carriage, the merits of which are in part set forth in his advertisement on page 336, to which we would respect- fully call the attention of our readers. These Carriages are said to be much cheap- er, lighter and more durable than those built in the ordinary way. They meet with much favor wherever introduced. We would suggest to our patrons that they call and examine them before leaving their orders at other places.
