Three Thousand dwellings and some of the best houses, have been roofed by me during the last Ten Years, and I have not, as yet, had the least trouble with them. These Roofs are hard and firm, and can be Walked upon as much as wanted. The floor underneath, on the warmest day in summer, will be as cool as the cellar. These Roofs, when laid and fin- ished, will be about 1-2 an inch thick, and the pitch about 1-2 to 1 1-2 inch to the foot, and by ascertaining that, would save trouble, as the Cement can be made to any dimension.
Your insurance will be the same rate as charged for Tin Roofs, as can easily be ascertain- ed at the several offices previous to the work being done.
Old Composition Roofs repaired and re-coated, and made as good as new ; the cost being only from 1 3-4 to 3 cents the square foot.
Old Leaky Tin, Shingles, or Zinc Roofs, covered over and made water-tight, on the most reasonable terms. Paints for old or new Tin Roofs, Wood, .Bricks or Iron, Steam, Canal Boats, Railroad Cars, &c., &c.
Bridgewater Paint or Mineral Paints, Blake's Ohio Fire-proof Paints, Soap Stone Paint, or any kind wanted. These Paints are mixed quite thick and form a cement or stone coat- ing after a short time. Any quantity of Roofing materials on hand for sale. Barrels of Com- position, by the load or 100 barrels. Coal Tar, Pitch, Rosin, Paints or Oil Paper, Felt ; white Gravel Stones, by the load or cargo, for walks or foundations.
Further information can be obtained by enquiring at the office, where these old roofs can be seen, and also the materials wherewith they are roofed, and open for examination, by which any person can be satisfied that the work can be done to order and executed in a workman- like manner.
Orders received from Brooklyn, Williamsburgh, Jersey City, Newark, or from any part of the Country, will be promptly attended to. Please call or address to

GOURAUD'S ITALIAN MEDICATED SOAP
THE Purity and Whiteness of Skin which the use of
GOTRAUD'S MEDICATED SOAP
produces, is surpassingly beautiful. Not a vestige of Tan, Freckles, Sallowness, Sunburn, Pimples, Frowsiness, Roughness, Chaps, Chafes, or other cutaneous disfigurements can be seen upon the skin which is frequently washed with this marvellous compound. The purest alabaster could scarcely rival in whiteness, smoothness and transparency the complexion which has been beautified by this soap. It is, moreover, delicious for shaving.
GOURAUD'S HAIR RESTORATIVE, OR CIRCASSIAN GLOSS,
not only possesses the wonderful power of imparting to wiry hair a rich silkiness and superb gloss, but it also restores the hair to places whence it has fallen off.
GOURAUD'S LIQUID ROUGE,
gives to pale lips and cheeks a rosiness so permanent that it cannot be removed by the most violent rubbing.
AUD'S UDRE SUBTILE, is warranted to uproot hair from low foreheads or any part of the body.
Gouraud's Liquid Hair Dye,
will instantaneously change red or grey hair to a beautiful brown or black, without staining the skin.
GOURAUD'S LILLY WHITE,
is much prized by ladies for flushed, rough skins.

CERTIFICATE AND REFERENCES.
NEW-YORK, APRIL 22d, 1854.
" This may certify, that I, ROBERT WILLSON, have for nearly five years been afflicted with Inflamation of the Eye, causing Blindness, for which I have tried the best medical skill in Albany, Utica, and the adjacent cities in this state. I was also four months a patient in the New-York Eye and Ear Infirmary, in Mercer Street, receiving no benefit, but rather injury from their course of treatment. I was dis- couraged and about to give up in dispair, when a friend recommended DR. HENDER- SON to my attention, with a request that I would give him a trial, as he knew sever- al cases which had been entirely cured by his course of treatment. I did so, and to my great surprise and joy, found myself rapidly recovering; my eyes are now well, my health is also good. I am well known to all the Captains of the Hudson River Boats, particularly those of the Merchants' and Peoples' Line, any of whom will cor- roborate this statement.
ROBERT WILLSON."
