No. 19 East Front Street, South side, near Broadway,

CINCINNATI, O.

From the Report of the Committee of the Chio Mechanics' Institute Fair, held in Cincinnati, May, 1855

NON-GELATINOUS LARD OIL, exhibited by MESSRS. WM. R. FEE & BRO., we consider a very good article, not only as a burning fluid, but it is also well adapted for oiling Machinery of all kinds, and especially that of a light character and fine finish. In this opinion, your committee are supported by the practical knowledge of many of the mechanics of the city, and also in its effects on some of the machinery running in the Institute during the exhibition. We therefore believe that the exhibitors have succeeded, to a great extent, in producing a substitute for Sperm Oil. The Gluten extracted from this Oil, during the process of manufacture, answers a good purpose for cut- ting screws and for oiling rough and heavy machinery. The Committee, therefore, recommend the Oil and Gluten to your consideration.
