LOVELL

The Industrial City of Wyoming.

With the industries already in operation and others that are investigating with the view of locating here, Lovell promises to be the Industrial City of Wyoming. Four industries are already located here: One of the largest sugar factories in the west; an oil refinery, a brick and tile factory and a glass factory, the only west of Kansas. These four industries give employment, to a large number of men, making a weekly payroll that runs up into the thousands of dollars. Within six or eight miles of Lovell, are the largest natural gas wells in the state, a means of cheap fuel for manufacturing purposes. More than 100,000 acres of tillable land is contiguous to Lovell, all under the Shoshone Reclamation project, built by the government. The supply of water for irri- gation is unlimited. Lovell is located in Big Horn coun- ty, on the Denver-Billings branch of the Burlington railroad and the Shoshone river, about 90 miles from the Yellowstone National Park.
