The committee on resolutions reported the following platform which was unanimously adopted:

First-We the allied silver forces of Brown County, in convention assembled, again declare in favor of the.restoration of silver to its place as the money of the constitution and its free coin- age at the ratio of 16 to 1 without waiting for the aid or consent of any nation on earth, and we recognize in Colonel William J. Bryan the ablest champion of the people in their efforts to secure this and kindred reforms.

Second-We believe that the declaration of war with Spain was justified by the causes which called it forth, and we are proud of the distinction achieved by our army and navy. We also rejoice in the prospects of early and honorable adjustment of all difficulties with Spain.

Third-We believe in a reasonable territorial expansion, in the enlargement and strengthen- ing of our navy and in the increase of our commercial relations with other countries.

Fourth-We heartily endorse the actions of the Populists, Democratic and Silver Republican state conventions in renominating the present state officers, believing that the record of the last two years and their vigilent efforts to maintain the rights of the people against corporate lawless- ness entitle them to the hearty endorsement of the people of the state.

Fifth-We are opposed to maladministration and dereliction of duty in public office and pledge the nominees of this convention that, if elected, they will perform all the duties devolving upon them without fear or favor.

Sixth-We demand in county affairs that all contracts as far as possible be let to the lowest responsible bidder.
