In Precinct 5. In Park School, Walnut Street, on Monday the sixth day of March, A.D. 1944 at 8 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to bring into the Wardens of their several precincts their votes for the following named Town Officers, to wit:


A Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, Tax Collector, Three Selectmen, Highway Surveyor, all for one year; One As- sessor (Three years), One Member of the Board of Pub- lic Welfare (Three years), One Member of the Board of Health (Three years), One Member of the Board of Sewer Commissioners (Three years), Two Members of the School Committee (Three years), Two Trustees of the Public Library (Three years), One Trustee of the Public Library (One year to fill vacancy), Two Trustees of the Vernon

Grove Cemetery (Three years), One Trustee of the Ver- non Grove Cemetery (Two years to fill unexpired term), One Member of the Planning Board (Five years), One Member of the Planning Board (Four years to fill unex- pired term), One Member of the Planning Board (Three years to fill unexpired term), One Park Commissioner (Three years), One Tree Warden (One year), Five Constables (One year), One Moderator (One year).


And for the election of Town Meeting Members from the several voting Precincts of the Town as follows:


In Precinct 1. Fourteen Town Meeting Members (For three years). Three Town Meeting Members (For two years to fill vacancies). One Town Meeting Member (One year to fill vacancy).


In Precinct 2. Fourteen Town Meeting Members (For three years).


In Precinct 3. Fifteen Town Meeting Members (For three years). Two Town Meeting Members (For one year to fill vacancies).


In Precinct 4. Fourteen Town Meeting Members for 3 years, one Town Meeting Member for 2 years to fill vacancy, 4 Town Meeting Members for one year to fill vacancies.


In Precinct 5. Fourteen Town Meeting Members (For three years). One Town Meeting Member (One year to fill vacancy).


The polls will be closed at eight o'clock in the eve- ning.


And in the name of said Commonwealth you are further required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town qualified by law to vote in Town Affairs, to meet in the Town Hall, on Wednesday the fifteenth day of March A.D. 1944, at eight o'clock in the evening, then and there to act upon the following articles, namely:


Article 1. To hear and act upon the reports of all Town Officers and Committees of the Town.


Article 2. To raise and appropriate such sum or sums of money as may be necessary to defray Town ex- penses for the financial year beginning January 1, 1944.

Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1945, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew such note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Sec- tion 17, Chapter 44, of the General Laws.


Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to take charge of all legal proceedings for or against the Town.


Article 5. To determine the compensation of the Col- lector of Taxes for the year ensuing.


Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to appro- priate the dog tax Sixteen hundred twenty-one dollars and ninety-seven cents ($1621.97) for Town Library.


Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to choose a Director of County Aid to Agriculture in accordance with the Provisions of Chapter 128 of the General Laws, or pass any vote or votes in relation thereto.


Article 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to sell any or all real estate owned by the Town by reason of the foreclosure of tax titles thereon, and to execute, acknowledge and deliver a proper deed or deeds therefor, authority therfor to terminate March 1, 1945, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 9. To see if the Town will appropriate from available funds under the excess and Deficiency Account a sum of money for use by the Board of Assessors in fixing the tax rate for 1944, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for Chapter 90 Maintenance, said money to be used in conjunction with any money which may be allotted by the State or County, or both, for this purpose; or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to increase the salary of the Highway Surveyor, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of purchasing and installing a new air compressor unit and new air stor- age tanks for the Fire Alarm System, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to accept and allow the report of the Selectmen on the laying out as a public way, a private way known as Altieri Court, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, or transfer from available funds in the treas- ury, a sum of money for the purchase of war bonds or other bonds that are legal investments for savings banks, in order to establish a post-war rehabilitation fund, in ac- cordance with the provisions of Chapter 5, Acts of 1943.


Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to appro- priate from the Fire Damage Account to the Sewer De- partment the sum of Nine hundred dollars ($900.00 for the purpose of repairing the building at the Sewer Disposal Plant, damaged by fire, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to accept such offer, grants, or loans as the United States of America may make to aid the Town in financing the cost of such Post-War Projects, under Chap- ter 58 of Acts of 1943, as the town may undertake for pub- lic works projects, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to purchase from George W. Ellis, a parcel of land located on the westerly side of Cedar Street, north of the Town Dump and to raise and appropriate the sum of Fifty-dollars ($50.00) therefor, or take any action in relation thereto.


Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Four thousand five hundred sixty- six dollars ($4566.00) for the purpose of constructing a sewer in Florence and North Streets Extension to Ravenna Street, or take any action in relation thereto.

Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to meet the expenses of re- pairing Town Hall Tower, or take any action in relation thereto.
