AUDITING COMMITTEE'S REPORT.
Your committee, in examining the accounts of the town, find the books kept in a proper manner, but the vouchers in many cases are not satisfactory. We think all bills against the town should state the work done, and date of the same, and recommend the following vote to be passed by the town : -
Voted, No order shall be drawn by the selectmen or other officer for the payment of any bill, unless the same is properly made, specifying the day and date when the services were rendered, with vouchers for articles purchased, and approved by the proper officer.
Your committee do not find that your school committee render any statement to the town of the moneys received and expended by their book agent, which we think should be done, and the same appear in their annual report.
H. E. SMITH, GEO. W. FORD, Auditing Committee.

Martha O. Jackson and William A. Standish have been removed to the Insane Hospital at Taunton, during the past year, it being impossible to keep the former decent or comfortable at the alms- house. W. A. Standish was removed to the hospital, with the un- derstanding that his relatives would pay the extra cost above the cost at the almshouse, where it would have been necessary t > have an extra fire for his comfort.
The average number supported in the almshouse the past year has been ten and one quarter, and the expenses per week three dol- lars seventy-five cents and a fraction, per week, for each person.
