The Selectmen were directed by the Town to widen, and make special repairs on the road from Wadsworth Chandler's to Pembroke line, as ordered by the County Commissioners. The repairs, &c., have been made at a cost of $747.90, and included in the above account for which there was no appro- priation made.


Exception to the award, for land damages on the Gardner road, amounting to $50 have been made, and are now in dis- pute, but will be decided by Jury in a short time.

The amount of debt has increased by the building of a school-house in District No. 2, at a cost of $1,981.52; and re- pairs of road from W. Chandler's to Pembroke line, cost $747.90, for which there was no appropriation by the Town.

In examining the Treasurer's and Collector's accounts, we find taxes, since 1864, amounting to $441.57, which we con- sider worthless, but are included in the Treasurer's account of the resources of the Town, and would recommend that tho Town take some action in regard to the same.


APPROPRIATIONS.


The Selectmen would recommend the following sums to de- fray the expenses of the Town for the year ensuing :
