HIGHWAY SURVEYOR'S REPORT

To the Citizens of Andover :

We began work on Railroad Street March 15, by building a stone road from the Cross coal-shed to the Electric Light Sta- tion, a piece across Stony Brook and a piece near Central Street. This road was built from stone taken from the gravel bank rolled with the steam roller and graveled with Red Spring gravel. The expense of this repairing on Railroad Street was $130.00, the teaming being done by the town teams.

A paved gutter was built from the Boston and Maine crossing to Abbott Village Bridge, the sidewalk being cut to grade and a concrete retaining wall built in front of house owned by Smith & Dove.

The surface water on Park Street having caused trouble, we bought a right of way across land now owned by Myerscough and Buchan at a cost of $200.00, repaired culvert across Park Street and piped water to Stony Brook across said land, since which time we have had no further complaint.

Graveling has been done on the following streets: Central, Pine, Haverhill, Chandler Road, Brundett Avenue, Andover, Ar- gilla Road, School and Phillips. On account of the heavy showers we had many extensive repairs. Prospect Hill Road was repaired and an iron culvert put in near Richard Reed's.
