Report of the Park Commissioners

Much of the work and appropriation was spent in Rufus Putnam Park.

On account of a bad leak in the dam which drew the water down considerably during July, it was necessary to drain it off and repoint the face of the dam. It filled very slowly again due to lack of rain which resulted in the loss of the pool for swimming purposes most of the summer. We hope for better swimming facilities next summer.

Much cutting of brush has been done and other work in order to make the Park available for picnics.

Next year, we would like to use part of our appropria- tion on the Common where some trees should be replaced.
