Art. 9. Voted :- That the Town Treasurer, with the ap- proval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is, authorized to hire money temporarily, not exceeding one year, in anticipation of the Taxes of the year 1901, and give notes of the Town for the same, and that all money so hired shall be expressly made payable from such Taxes of 1901, the whole amount so hired under this vote not to exceed the sum of Seventy-Five Thou- sand Dollars ($75,000).

Art. 23. Voted :- That the Selectmen demand that the Tax Collector proceed at once to collect the taxes due the Town of Saugus, and in his failure to reasonably comply they consult counsel as to his liability on his bond.
Art. 24. Voted :- That the Selectmen be instructed to abate the Tax on the Hathaway Note.
Art. 29. Voted :- To lay this article on the Table until the next meeting.
Art. 31. Voted :- That the Water Commissioners be in- structed to make a contract with the City of Lynn for a fu- ture water supply upon as favorable terms as prevail at pres- ent for a term of five years.
Art. 33. Voted :- That a committee of not over three citi- zens, one from each precinct, be appointed, to be known as the Cemetery Commission, and who for the present, at least, shall serve the Town in that capacity without compensation, whose duty it shall be to take entire charge of the Cemetery. They shall keep all accounts thereof, and receive all money therefrom, and pay it over to the Treasurer, taking his re- ceipt for the same. They shall have the appointing of an offi- cer, to be known as Superintendent of Cemetery, who shall receive from the Treasurer of the Town such a sum of money for a salary as the Town shall vote for that purpose.

Art. 37. Voted :- That the Town of Saugus hereby con- curs in the proposed change in the boundary line between the towns of Saugus and Lynnfield, recommended by the Board of Topographical Survey Commissioners, by which the line between the corner of Lynn, Lynnfield and Saugus shall con- sist of one straight line, as follows :--
Beginning at the corner of Lynn, Lynnfield and Saugus, marked by a rough bowlder 3 feet in height and 7x7x4 feet at the base, lettered L., S., LD., and standing in a stone wall in woodland about 100 feet west of the west shore of Walden Pond, in latitude 42 deg., 30 m., 06.15 s., and longitude 71 deg., .00 m., 43.64 s .; thence about north 78 deg., 48 m .; west about 6,800 feet to a point in the present dividing line be- tween Lynnfield and Wakefield. in the channel of Saugus River.
Art. 38. Voted :- To accept the provision of Sec. I, Chap. 186, Acts of 1898, referring to Street Sprinkling
Art. 41. Voted :-- That the matter of a reduction of Car Fares between Saugus Centre and Malden Square, also be- tween; Saugus Centre and Wakefield be referred to the Se- iectmen.
Art. 47. Voted :- That a committee of not over three citi- zens be appointed to look into the advisability of a municipal lighting plant and report their findings at a future town meet- ing.

Art. 30. Voted :- That the sum of Five Hundred Dollars and the Dog Tax be and hereby is appropriated for the use of the Public Library for the ensuing year.

Art. 39. Voted :-- That the Selectmen be authorized to es- tablish the Lights called for on Denver street, and that the number of Lights be left to their judgment, the expenses of the same to be paid from the appropriation under Art. 12.
Art. 40. Voted :- That the Selectmen place two Incandes- cent Lights on Pleasant Street.
Art. 42. Voted :- That the sum of Five Hundred Dollars be appropriated for fitting up the vacant room in the Old Town Hall building for a Laboratory for the High School, and to purchase apparatus for the same.

Art. 48. Voted :- That a Committee of three be elected to look into the matter of the extension of Pleasant Avenue. That said Committee be instructed to confer with the County Commissioners and also to confer with the land owners who may be affected by the taking of land or change of grade and acting with the advice of the Town Council, obtain from the said land owners a binding legal agreement to accept certain sums in compensation of all damages to said land owners and report their finding to the Town at some future Town Meet- ing.
