Ordinances of the Town of Saugus, as adopted by the Town October 24, 1933, and any amendments thereto, which chapter is entitled "Projec- tions (1)"; by adding after the words "approved by the Town Counsel" in paragraph three of said chapter, the following additional words, "or until the applicant shall have procured and paid for liability insurance satisfactory to the Board of Selectmen and uncancellable for the term of such permit, which lia- bility insurance shall protect the Town as fully as would the bond above described," or by amending said Chapter 20, by the addition of any words which will accomplish the subject matter above, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the peti- tion of Edward Gibbs, Jr., and others.
Art. 24. To see if the Town will vote to petition the Legislature for legislation enabling the Board of Selectmen to serve as a Board of Sewer Commissioners, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the peti- tion of Harold W. Humphries and others.
Art. 25. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen, for and on behalf of the Town, to sell and convey a strip of land from the rear of Lot 502 Cleveland Avenue, which land is shown as Lot A-284 on Assessors' Plan No. 3024, the dimensions of said strip to be fixed by said Selectmen, who shall also be empowered to impose such con- ditions and reservations therein or thereon as they may deem expe- dient, agreeable to the petition of Laurence F. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Map and Zoning By-Laws so that the prem- ises situated on the Newburyport Turnpike and shown as Lots A-291 to A-288 on Assessors' Plan 2054 will be rezoned for business pur- poses, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agree- able to the petition of Alfred H. Woodward and others.
Art. 27. To see if the Town will instruct the Board of Selectmen to have the ashes and rubbish col-
lected by private contract begin- ning in 1941, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of Anna S. Peters and others.
Art. 28. To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Public Wel- fare and/or the Board of Select- men to lease to the Saugus Revol- ver and Rifle Club certain lands off Main Street containing about six acres for the period of one year or longer and authorize either board to set the rental thereof, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the peti- tion of William A. Fielding, Harry A. Raymond, Arthur M. Lassell, Edward Gibbs, Jr.
Art. 29. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $2,200.00 for the purchase, erec- tion and installation of a suitable War Memorial in commemoration of the services of those men and women of the Town who served in the armed forces of the United States during the World War. Said sum of money to be transferred from the Special Fund now held by the Town under the title "Surplus War Bonus Fund," and to be ex- pended for such purposes by a com- mittee of five citizens who shall be appointed by the Board of Select- men, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agree- able to the petition of Harold P. Rice and others.
