PETITION FOR A RECOUNT

Weymouth, Mass., Nov. 8, 1922.

To Registrars of Voters:

We, the undersigned registered voters of Town of Weymouth represent that we have reason to believe and do believe that the returns of the Election Officers of said Town of the votes cast at the election on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 1922, for United States Senator are erroneous, in this respect: That William A. Gaston of Boston is credited with more and Henry Cabot Lodge of Nahant with less votes than were actually cast for them; and we believe a recount of the votes cast in said Town will effect the election of one or more candidates at such election. We therefore ask that the votes

98

cast for said William A. Gaston of Boston and Henry Cabot Lodge of Nahant as aforesaid, be recounted.

This petition must be signed in person by ten registered vot- ers of the Town.

COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS

Norfolk, ss. November 9, 1922.
