Provided further, that an applicant for such accessory use must be a resident of the dwelling involved and a permit for accessory use shall be void upon the removal of the applicant from the premises.
LEGISLATION
ARTICLE 29. (On Petition of Everett E. Callahan and Others). To see if the Town will vote to appoint a committee of three (3) to file a petition with the Legislature to place on the annual 1949 ballot the fol- lowing question: "Shall the Town accept a plan of town government similar to the plan now existing in the Town of Norwood."
SCHOOLS
ARTICLE 30. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to name the Hunt School Auditorium the Charles Y. Berry Auditorium and that a tablet be placed in said auditorium with suitable ceremonies, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 31. (At Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and ap- propriate, for the purpose of preparing plans and securing estimates of cost of construction for additions to and alterations of the Abigail Adams School and the New Pratt School, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 32. (At the Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appropriate, for the purpose of relocating, renovating, and equipping the science laboratories and classrooms, and the library, in the original build- ing of the Weymouth High School, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 33. (At Request of School Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and ap- propriate, for the purpose of repointing and waterproofing the gymnasium wing of the Edward B. Nevin School, or take any other action in relation thereto.

PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS
ARTICLE 35. (At the Request of Park Commissioners). To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $3520.00 from such monies as the United States Government has advanced to the Town for the res- toration of Great Hill Park to its original condition prior to the United States Army taking possession thereof, and that the said sum shall be expended for the restortation of said Park under the direction of the Park Commissioners, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 36. (At the Request of Park Commissioners). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the erection and construction of bleachers and field house at the Stella Tirrell Park, or take any other action in relation thereto.
SEWERAGE
ARTICLE 37. (At the Request of Sewer Commissioners). To see if the Town will vote to petition the Massachusetts General Court for legis- lation pertaining to partial payments on house connections for sewers, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 38. (At the Request of Sewer Commissioners). To see if the Town will vote to release an easement granted to it by the Boston Edison Company for sewerage purposes to Edward I. Farrington in ex- change for an easement to be granted to the Town from said Edward I. Farrington to serve the same purpose, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 39. (At Request of Sewer Commissioners). To see if the Town will vote to exempt Charles W. Burgess, while working for the Sewer Commission, from the provisions of town By-Law, Section 626, or take any other action in relation thereto.
WATER DEPARTMENT
ARTICLE 40. (On Petition of Board of Water Commissioners). To see if the Town will vote to authorize an issue of Bonds and Notes in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00 for the purposes and in the manner pro- vided by Chapter 174 of the Acts of 1881 and the General Laws, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 41. (On Petition of Board of Water Commissioners). To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Water Commissioners to acquire by gift or purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee or otherwise, for the purposes of the public water supply such land as may be necessary for the construction of a standpipe off Randall Avenue in that part of Weymouth known as East Weymouth, and for a water main thereto, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 42. (On Petition of Leonard Gebhard and Others). To see if the Town will install water pipes and provide use of said water from the Town's Water System to the premises owned and occupied by Irene A. Gebhard, located at 51 Hingham Avenue, South Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 43. (On Petition of Ralph Talbot Chapter No. 65, Disabled American Veterans of Weymouth). To see if the Town will raise and ap- propriate the sum of $550.00 for the purpose of providing and maintaining suitable quarters for said Chapter No. 65, Disabled American Veterans, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 44. (At request of Wessagusset Post No. 1399, Veterans of Foreign Wars). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of providing and maintaining suitable quarters for said post, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 45. (At request of Weymouth Post No. 79, American Legion, Inc.). To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appropriate for the purpose of providing suitable headquarters for the Weymouth Post No. 79. American Legion, Inc., Department of Massachusetts, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 46. (On Petition of Louis H. Ells, President of Citizen's As- sociation, Precinct 4). To see if the Town will vote to change the name of Liberty Square to read Thomas V. Nash Square, in honor of the late Thomas V. Nash who gave his life in World War II, and that a sufficient sum of money be appropriated so that a proper marker may be installed, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 47. (At Request of Weymouth Post No. 79, American Legion, Inc.). To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appro- priate for the observance of Memorial Day to be expended under the direction of Weymouth Post No. 79, American Legion, Inc., Department of Massachusetts, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 48. (At Request of Weymouth Post No. 79, American Legion, Inc.). To see what action the Town will take to reimburse Weymouth Post No. 79, American Legion, Inc., Department of Massachusetts, for the ob- servance of the Tri-Town Armistice Day celebration of 1947.
ARTICLE 49. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept on its behalf a piece of real estate from Mr. William Miller on which the Ralph Talbot Memorial is located and provide thereafter for its proper care, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 55. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what action the Town will take to replace and/or renew cables for Police Signal Systems, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 56. (At Request of Sea Wall Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the con- struction of drainage, building of steps, and other work at sea walls on Fort Point Road and Wessagusset Road in connection with the construc- tion of sea walls by the Boston Port Authority, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 57. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for proper equipment for the Moth and Tree Departments, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 58. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $200.00 to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of stocking the ponds and inland waters, located within the Town limits with fish and of liberat- ing game all in acocrdance with General Laws (Ter. Ed.) Chapter 40, Sec- tion 5, Clause 41, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 59. (At Request of Tree Department). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for aerial spraying, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 60. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of establishing proper lighting in the various offices of the Town Hall, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 61. (At Request of Appropriation Committee). To see if the Town will ratify the action of the Chief of the Fire Department in purchasing a 1947 Pontiac Sedan during the year 1947, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 62. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the purpose of main- taining during the ensuing year, the mosquito control works as estimated and certified to by the State Reclamation Board in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 112, Acts of 1931, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 63. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to print By-Laws and any rules and regulations which various town departments would desire to have printed, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 65. (At Request of Trustees of Laban Pratt Hospital). To see if the Town will vote to transfer to the supervision of the Laban Pratt Hospital Trustees the Town Infirmary land 'so-called' excluding therefrom the land to the extent of two acres and the buildings now used by the Town as an Infirmary, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 66. (On Petition of East Weymouth Herring Run Mer- chants). To see if the Town will vote to set aside for use as a Municipal Parking Area a certain parcel of Town owned land in East Weymouth known as Bicknell Meadows, comprising approximately 57,000 square feet and described on Sheet 23, Section 304, Lots 50 and 53 of the Atlas of the Town of Weymouth, Edition of 1946, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 67. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see if the Town will instruct the Board of Selectmen to appoint an additional Lieutenant in the Police Department, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 68. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the purpose of sending a member of the Weymouth Police Department to the Police School operated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 69. (At Request of Tree Warden). To see if the Town will vote to appoint a committee for the study and adoption of a Shade Tree Code and to make recommendations relative thereto at the Annual Town Meeting of 1949, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 70. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will appropriate for the renovation of the Town Hall to provide temporary and/or permanent office space for various town depart- ments, or take any other action in relation thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to take such measures as may be necessary to set up under the provisions of the Civil Service Laws a police and fire signal alarm system under the present Supt. of Fire Alarms or take any other action in relation thereto.

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING March 1, 1948
Pursuant to a warrant duly issued, the Annual Meeting of the in- habitants of the Town of Weymouth, represented by its duly elected and qualified Town Meeting Members was held in the hall of the Weymouth High School, East Weymouth, Monday. March 1st, 1948.
209 Town Meeting Members were present.
The meeting was called to order at 7:50 o'clock in the evening by Mr. Daniel L. O'Donnell, Annual Moderator.
The attested copy of the warrant was read by Town Clerk Chester L. Boyle.
MR. GEORGE E. LANE MOVED:
That we suspend with the reading of the articles in the warrant. UNANIMOUSLY VOTED.
Prayer was offered by Rev. David Carter of the First Methodist Church, East Weymouth.
The Moderator requested Town Meeting Members not previously sworn in to rise but there were none.
The Moderator requested permission of the Town Meeting for the re- broadcasting of special parts of the Town Meeting over Station WJDA. No objection.
