WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING MONDAY, JUNE 28, 1948, 7:45 P.M.
NORFOLK, ss.
To any of the Constables of the Town of Weymouth in said County, GREETING :-
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid quali- fied to vote in Town affairs to meet in the hall of the Weymouth High School on
MONDAY, THE TWENTY-EIGHTH DAY OF JUNE, 1948
at seven o'clock and forty-five minutes in the evening, then and there to act upon the following articles, namely :-
ARTICLE 1. (At request of School Committee) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- priate, for the purpose of constructing a seven-room addition to the Abigail Adams School, a four-room addition to the Pratt School, and to purchase the necessary equipment for both additions, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 2. (At request of School Committee) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- riate, for the purpose of repairs and renovations to the Abigail Adams School and the purchase of classroom furniture for one classroom, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 3. (At request of School Committee) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- riate, for the purpose of purchasing part of Lot 13, Block 157, Sheet 13 of the Atlas of the Town of Weymouth for the year 1946, abutting the present Abigail Adams School grounds, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 4. (At request of School Committee) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- riate, for the purpose of preparing plans and securing estimates of the cost of constructing a Junior High School, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 5. (At request of School Committee) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- priate, for the purpose of increasing the salaries of teachers, with de- pendents, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 6. (At request of Board of Water Commissioners) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by borrowing or otherwise and appropriate for the erection of a standpipe and the installation of water mains of not less than six inches in diameter and all necessary appurtenances as may be necessary for these purposes, or to act on any- thing relating thereto.
ARTICLE 7. (At request of Board of Water Commissioners) To see if the Town will vote to amend the By-Laws of the Town by adding thereto a Section to be known as Section 513 of Article V as follows:
BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS '
Section 513: The Board of Water Commissioners may from time to time, on such conditions as may be determined by the Board, receive from prospective developers of lands in the Town, respectively, sums of money sufficient, in the opinion of the Board to cover the estimated expense to the Town, as certified by the Planning Board or such part thereof as is to be incurred by the Town, of constructing water mains with all appurtenances neces- sary or proper in private ways approved by the Planning Board under the provisions of General Laws (Ter. Ed.) Chapter 41, as amended by St. 1936, C. 211, or as otherwise amended, such sums to be paid to the Town Treasurer to the Credit of the Town, each sum to be held as a special fund marked with the name of the depositor and the way or ways to which the same is applicable, and subject to retention and appropriation by the Town for the purpose of reimbursing the Town for moneys expended in con- structing water mains and appurtenances in the respective ways designated for the respective funds and for the return to the de- positor of any unexpended balance as certified by the Board of Water Commissioners after completion of such water mains and appurtenances. If such deposit of estimated expense in any case is not sufficient for the work, the developer shall make deposit of a sufficient additional amount.
