Report of the Community Band

To the Honorable Board of Selectmen :

The Officers and Members of the Mattapoisett Com- munity Band are pleased to submit the following re- port.

In the past year the band has given ten concerts, nine at Marine Park and one at the Town Hall and has had forty-eight rehearsals. The Band participated in the Town Memorial Day exercises, but due to rain played only in the Town Hall. The summer concerts were well attended, not only by the townspeople, but also by out of town people.

Membership in the band is open to all, requirements being that one shall play an instrument, provide his or her own instrument and uniform, and be a regular attendant at the band rehearsals, which are held ev- ery Monday night throughout the year. It is also a rule of the band that no member receive any remun- eration for playing in the band, services are voluntary.

At this time the members of the Mattapoisett Com- munity Band wish to thank you for your interest and cooperation, which is greatly appreciated.

Following is the financial account of the Mattapoisett Community Band.
