A meeting, duly warned, of the inhabitants of West Bridgewater, qualified to vote on town affairs, was held at the Town Hall in said town on Monday, March, 2, 1908 at six o'clock a. m. Following is a record of said meeting, viz:

Voted, That the Treasurer be and hereby is author- ized, with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow during the municipal year beginning Jan. Ist, 1908, in anticipa- tion of the collection of taxes, such sums of money as may be necessary for the current expenses of the town but not to exceed the total tax levy for said year, giving the notes of the town therefor, payable within one year from the dates thereof. All debts incurred under authority of this vote shall be paid from the taxes of the present municipal year.

Voted, That the Selectmen act in conjunction with the Trustees of the Howard Fund in regard to public lectures.
Voted, To place notices of public lectures on every bullitin board in the town.
Voted, To build a sidewalk on Belmont street from Richard's Corner to Matfield Depot.
Voted, And appropriated the sum $200 00 for above sidewalk, same to be used by road commissioner to the best of his discretion.
Voted, To authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Auditor to transfer appropriations.
Voted, To raise and appropriate the sum of $13,500 00 to build a school building at the Center. Albert Manley, L. Augustus Tower, Hervey Dunham, were chosen a committee to build same at their discretion, but not to exceed the appropriaton.
Voted, To accept a sum of money from Miss Edith Howard, to be used in beautifying the South Cemetery, same to be used by the Selectmen at their discretion.

Voted, That the Treasurer be authorized to borrow money to build new school building at Center, and that such sum be paid in the following manner: $2000 00 in 1908, and $1000 00 each succeeding year until paid.
Voted, That the business meeting of the town be held ten days prior to election of officers.
Voted, That the town pay $5.00 per day for man and a pair of horses.
Voted, That the same caucus committee serve an- other year.
Voted, To pay the moderator $15.00 for his services.
Voted, That the memorial committee be authorized to purchase a flag. (No appropriation made.)
Voted, That the labor wage on highways shall be $2.25 for eight hours.
Voted, That the various sums that have been raised and appropriated to-night shall be assessed upon the polls and estate of this town.
Voted, That the meeting be dissolved.

By a recount of ballots for Selectman and Overseer of Poor for one year, held at Town Office, March 7, it was found that there existed a tie vote between Messrs. Geo. F. Logue and E. Bradford Wilbur.

March 21, 1908.
A meeting duly warned, of the inhabitants of West Bridgewater, qualified to vote on town affairs was held at Town Hall in said town on March 21st, 1908 at six o'clock in the morning and the following is a record of the doings of said meeting, viz. :
Meeting called to order by the Town Clerk.
Chose as moderator Howard B. Wilbur.
Voted, To ballot for one Selectman and Overseer of Poor for one year.
The ballots having been sorted, counted and a declaration thereof made showed the election of the follow- ing named person: Selectman and Overseer of Poor for one year, Geo. F. Logue.
. Voted, To dissolve the meeting.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING.
April 25, 1908.
A meeting, duly warned, of the inhabitants of West Bridgewater, qualified to vote on town affairs, was held at Town Hall, in said town, on Saturday, April 25, 1908, at 3 o'clock p. m., and the following is a record of the said meeting, viz :

Called to order by the Town Clerk.
Chose as moderator, William A. Hambly.
Voted, To rescind the action taken at the town meeting held March 9, 1908, in regard to the loan for the erection of a new school building.
Voted, To authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow the sum of thirteen thousand five hundred dollars, to erect a school building at the Center, and give the notes or bonds of the town therefor ; said notes or bonds to be a serial issue of annual pay- ments, payable. $2,000 each year until the last year, when the last $1,500 shall be paid. Other terms and details of the loan to be at the discretion of the Selectmen and Treasurer.
Voted, That the builiding committee be instructed to move the primary building at the Center from the present site, and to appropriate the sum of $175.00 for the same.
Voted, To rescind the vote taken March 9th, 1908 whereby the labor shall be $2.25 for eight hours work.
Voted, That taxes be due Oct. 15 of each year, six per cent interest being charged after that date and all taxes unpaid Jan. Ist of each year to be collected by legal process.
Voted, That all assessed poll taxes be paid Nov. Ist of each year.
Voted, To pay the moderator, $2.00.
Voted, To dissolve the meeting.
