The selectmen have established three public dumping places in the town, one at Matfield, one at Cochesett on the road to the town farm, and one on South Elm street. At the entrance to each are large painted signs. We hope the public will take advantage of these dumping places and cease to make a nuisance of the highway to dump rubbish.

The selectmen have bought during the year two lots of gravel, one directly back of the residence of Henry C. Cole, it being a very good quality of gravel, and a lot on South Elm street. The lot on South Elm street was bought for the gravel and for a dumping place, it being the most available place for a dumping place and the gravel is fairly good.

Each of these lots was bought on the advice and recom- mendation of the road commissioner.

GEORGE LOGUE, ALBERT MANLEY, ELLIS S. LELACHEUR,

Selectmen.
