REPORT OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN


To the citizens of Arlington :


The Board of Selectmen herewith submits its report for the year ending December 31, 1946.


At the Annual Town Election held on March 4, 1946, Harold A. Cahalin, was elected a member of the Board of Selectmen for a term of three years. The Board organized at the first meeting held thereafter with Joseph Peterson as its Chairman. During the year, fifty-two regular and three special meetings were held.


Detailed reports as submitted by the heads of depart- ments responsible to the Board of Selectmen will be found elsewhere in this edition of the Town Report.


A brief commentary follows on certain of the more im- portant matters acted upon by the Board.
