After repeated attempts to collect from the Avery Chemical Company I was directed by the Board of Selectmen to turn the col- lection of their tax to the Town Attorney, Mr. Melvin G. Rogers. The real estate tax amounting to $6,015.33 and interest amounting to $262.37 was paid May 3, 1921. An opinion from Mr. Rogers dated July 11, 1921, states there is practically no prospect of the Town be- ing able to collect the Personal Property taxes of 1920. The amount of the 1920 Personal Property tax is $7,317.00.
