She is still (1890) living, and is authority for the notes to epitaphs 179, 246, and 283.

Obadiah Kendall, born in Woburn, June 15, 1757 ; son of Deacon Obadiah (epitaph 58) and Elizabeth (Miles) Kendall (epitaph 118) ; married Sarah Johnson (epitaph 313).

Priscilla Weston, wife of Jeremy Weston (epitaph 220), was daughter of - Perkins, and was probably born in Ipswich. Jeremy Weston after his marriage lived first in West Cambridge (now Belmont), and he died in the old brick house on the Lexington road, known as the Rogers Place.

Deacon Ebenezer Lawrence, born Oct. 16, 1757, in Woburn, son of Jonathan (epitaph 3) and Rachel (Wright) Lawrence (epitaph 123) ; mar- ried Hannah Estabrooks; died 1835 (epitaph 226); was a soldier in the Revolutionary War (vide Sewall's Woburn) ; lived in Woburn where the Lawrence school- house now stands. May 27, 1798, Ebenezer Lawrence and Hannah Lawrence, his wife, were admitted members of Woburn First Church. (Church Manual, p. 14.) From July 2, 1812, to May 2, 1828, he held the office of deacon in that church. (Ibid., p. 7.) ( Vide Bond's Water- town Genealogies, 829.)

his brother, Justinian. He married Martha, daughter of Stephen and Sarah Fosdick, of Charlestown. He resided in Watertown, Woburn, and Groton, in which latter place he died March 1, 1696. Tradition says that he came from Kent, England, and was the eldest of four brothers; he had eleven children.
II. Stephen, son of Richard, resided in Groton. He married Hannah and died in July, 1715. He also had eleven children.
III. Stephen, son of the preceding, married, first, Hannah Sawtell, and second, Sarah Cresey. He had thirteen children.

Lucy Barnard, wife of Simon, was a daughter of Nathan and Bathsheba (Hayward-Simonds ) Simonds, and was born Sept. 27, 1796. Her husband was a native of Maine. Her brother, Nathan Simonds, while a student at Harvard, was drowned in Fresh Pond. (See Johnson's Genealogical Sketch of William Simonds. )

John Kendall, son of John and Sarah, born Dec. 5, 1758.
Elizabeth Kendall, wife of John, was born Elizabeth Barnard, and is said to have come from Maine. She was an aunt of Simon Barnard (epitaph 310). The stone to Elizabeth Kendall is not now (1890) in the yard.
(326.) " Emma Dow Dau. of Hial P. & Mary G. D. Cram died Sept. 7, 1843, Et. 1 yr. 4 mo, & 10 days."
Emma Dow Cram was born in Weare, N. H.
(327.) "In Memory of Samuel Cutter who died Nov. 3d 1843 Æt. 59."
Samuel Cutter, born Sept. 7, 1785, son of James and Catherine (Ben- jamin ) Cutter. His father was a native of Menotomy (now Arlington), but died in Jaffrey, N. H. (vide notice of Samuel Cutter in History of Cutter Family, 247). This stone has been removed to the cemetery on Salem Street.
(328.) " Mrs Margaret, wife of Elijah Leathe, died Nov. 27, 1843, Æt. 57.
" Death came commissioned 'mid onr household band Bearing his bow and quiver in his hand At our lov'd mother he aimed his fatal dart, And stilled the throbbing of her heart."
Marriage intention of Margaret Clark and Mr. Elijah Leathe, 3d, both of Woburn, is dated March 2, 1807.

EPITAPHS, SECOND BURIAL-GROUND.
Stephen Skinner, a son of Abraham and Sally (Johnson) Skinner, says that he was born in Woburn, June 24, 1818, and that his father, Abraham, was also, although their births are not on the records. He says his mother was a daughter of John Johnson, and she was born in Leicester or Andover. His grandfather, Abraham, married twice, and each wife was a Brooks. He himself was born in the old Brooks house, at corner of Main Street and Lake Avenue.
(330.) " William, eldest son of Simon & Lucy Barnard, died Jan. 19, 1844, Æt. 22 ys & 6 mos.
" Not love or friendship could his life ensure, Nor blooming youth, or strength, or health secure, Our brother dear, from an untimely end. Deeply we mourn the loss of such a friend. But God has done it, and His voice aloud Bids us be ready for an early shroud. So may we hear and hasten to obey That death may be to us a welcome day."
