Section 11, chapter II, act No. 203, P. A. 1917, as amended by act No. 2, P. A. 1919, provides for the election of county commissioners of schools and makes the term of office four years, beginning July 1, following the general biennial election held April 7, 1919. § 5885, C. L. 1915, as amended by act No. 21, P. A. 1917, provides] that the board of supervisors fix the compensation of the commissioner.


(a) Act 169 of 1905 provides for the election of a commissioner in Chippewa county in November, 1908, and every fourth year thereafter, term of office to commence on January 1, following such election.


(b) In Kent county, commissioners are chosen at the November election. See L. A. 597, 1905.


(c) Act 115 of 1907 provides for the election of a commissioner in Lake county in November, 1910, and every fourth year thereafter, whose term shall commence on January 1, following such election.


(d) Local act 592, 1905, provides for the election of a commissioner in Livingston county in November, 1906, and every two years thereafter, term of office to commence July 1, following election.
