The small amount of highway money on hand is due to the heavy rain of July eighth, which cost the town five or six hundred dollars extra highway money to repair the roads.

F. Herbert Weed and Frank A. Bryer contributed twenty- two dollars and eighty cents towards the repair of the road from Sandwich to Moultonboro, and we wish others would do the same.

SCHOOL BOARD REPORT

In the Red Hill district a new school house has been built in which one term of school has been held. It fulfills the need of that district and is complimentary to the building committee, as it was built for less than the appropriation, and will accommodate several more scholars than are in the district at present.

The cost of maintaining this school is much less than hiring a room or transporting the scholars. We wish to thank the townsmen for making this possible.

The Centre Sandwich school house has been newly painted inside, and necessary repairs made.

All the school houses have been kept in proper repair.

Attention is called to parents of scholars to the following laws of the State of New Hampshire :

"No child shall attend any public or private school un- less he has been vaccinnated or has had the smallpox, and this section shall be enforced by the Board of Health, except in the case of a child who has submitted to the process of vaccination not less than three times, or who holds the cer- tificate of the local Board of Health that he is an unfit subject for vaccination." This law should be strictly enforced.

We herewith submit to the Selectmen, estimates for the coming year :

High school tuition, $300 00

Text books and supplies, 125 00
